I just adopted a Maltese Mix! The sweetest dog ever! I had a Maltipoo before this one! My current Maltese Mix has a tightly curled tail! Not sure, so checking out mixes! 🐶❤️
I have a Maltichon, a Bichon Frise/ Maltese cross breed. She is an absolute delight. She looks just like a Maltese and is very cheeky and too smart for her own good.
Did I miss mention of the Morkie? They are of course the results of breeding a Yorkshire Terrier with a Maltese. Their coats can favor the tans of the Yorkie or the white of the Maltese. They are wonderful companions, albeit high maintenance with grooming. One note of caution regarding all of these small breeds. Be sure to use a harness instead of a collar. They can be prone to tracheal collapse which is serious and life threatening.
I had two Shih Tzus. Each lasted 14 years and had numerous genetic problems. Now I have a Malshi. He is 11 1/2. So far no problems. He has his teeth, no eye problems and is very energetic. Fantastic therapy dog and does very well at guarding the house. Everyone is his friend. Not a barker but he’s arrogant, not prone to obedience. We’re aiming for a long life record. He’s maintained 7 pounds for 10 years and was a rescue.
@@denisethomson7685 Sully gets 3.5 ounces of Cesar’s. About 2 oz raw gizzards and hearts and a little at will dry food (Merrick). Hardly any human food. He eats every day at 5:30 PM and a part of it is a treat after a daily walk/run at various times. He also chews various bones.

If we keep sterilizing all of our dogs there will be no pets left for anyone. Life without dogs will be very empty. Being a responsible pet owner is simple.
I agree Lorna, but not only should a person WANT the dog they choose, but they should be dedicated to the NEEDS of the dog they want. It should be a lifetime commitment to the dog that the “wanter” is prepared to fulfill, for better or for worse. A dog gets 10 to 15 years on an average.

The Maltichon is one I almost got but I just got a purebred Maltese.
