Nice tune from a seriously underrated band that dissolved too soon. The energetic build up is reminiscent of the Modern English epic tune "Gathering Dust" off ME's seminal 1981 "Mesh and Lace" album.
Heard this for the first time yesterday on KALX, the Cal Berkeley public radio station driving home from work while repeatedly hitting that volume up button. So this is Hookworms. I like it.

Hookworms are my favorite band of this century so far. They are brilliant. Matthew Johnson is brilliant. I just think that they and Matthew should put behind themselves that pathetic story with the ex and pump out another brilliant album or two!!!
Good. But I'd prefer less amount of pop-elements instead of ambient\folk and old-school rock elements(which are obvious). As for latter, in my ears, there are big traces of Velvet Underground in last third. Thanks
