Camp Pedricktown was a DOD site (Department of Defense) up until the mid-1990s and also a Nike missile Base. Located next to the Delaware River, the Pedricktown Army Air Defense Command Post contained a Missile Master fire distribution capable of controlling all the Nike missile bases within the Philadelphia Defense Area.

It is your right to video, N.J. is an old part of our country, so no doubt is rich in history and historic sights

I live in pg/cp. That military base is called the D.O.D. There is a dirt road next to a sign on the right hand side past the DOD if your coming from chester and take the 130 at the split. Thats public access... if you follow it around until you see a road to the right, you'll hit the quarry where ppl fish and swim (its separate and not connected to the Delaware River). Its a spring. You can take boats, no gas motors though... canoes, and kayaks. I take my paddle board out there all the time...
If you pass the first turn and keep going, it will take you back to the river... its actually pretty cool.
On the other side of the DOD base there are access trails to MILES of trails where we ride our dirt bikes and quads. This section is not open to the public and we have to make new entries every time to go in... its awesome. Just don't let the game warden catch you in that part.
Any other questions, just ask. I've been on every road you've driven on

Ah I was wondering how to get to the lake. I seen it on the map but didnt know where to go. Thanks for your comment, that sounds like a lot of fun over there I gotta go back.

@@lesliemj8288 and actually I do have a question. Is the DOD base open to drive through sometimes? On google street view the gate is wide open.

Yes and no... It was a paintball store and playing field for several years... So technically your not supposed to... but people do go back there to check it out pretty often... I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble. Now, anything to the right of the DOD is where all us locals ride our ATVs. If you get caught, the game warden will tow and impound your ATV and give you a ticket.

Also... you were in Carneys Point... not penns grove. Carneys Point completely surrounds PG.
