Yeah I thought game 1 was just a bad day and he would bounce back but I think they need to give Saaros the start in game 3. Rinne is excellent but I think he's overworked and they need to give him a rest. I say at least try to tie it or take the lead and put Rinne back and see how he does. Like Matthew said it's not over yet. He could have excellent practice sessions in the coming days and make a comeback.
i'm a Pens Fan ( don't hate ) and I love Rinee . World class . But his record against the pens is far from stellar .
I can understand how you feel and would feel much the same in your situation (Some frustrating early playoff exits under coaches Bylsma and Johnston were hard to swallow when they wouldn't ever make adjustments). Rinne is a great goaltender, but for whatever reason, the Pens have got his number. He's never performed well against them for whatever reason. So, in your shoes, I'd want the same thing.

The one thing I enjoy about this series is the Preds coach actually got his start with the Pens ECHL team the Wheeling Nailers back in the mid to late 90s before moving up.

While I'm happy The Penguins are up 2-0. I'm not etching my name on the cup just yet. Penguins have been outplayed most of this series so far. Thank God For Matt Murray! But as a Penguins fan, I'm nervous as hell to play in Nashville. I think this series is going 7 with an Epic Game 7 in Pittsburgh. Someone also mentioned, The Penguins revamping their defense next year. Could you imagine a better defensive core than these guys? Penguins are gonna continue be nasty for a while.
Pens are going to lose many players in the Summer with the Cap , Expansion Draft , and Cullen is done this year .
Hemi Head Their Biggest loss may be Hagelinor Domoulin n the Expansion Draft. MAF will be traded and Schultz will sign a 1 year deal again. Letang, Schultz, Maatta,Cole not a bad base for next year. Expect them to go Heavy on Defense in Draft.
Hemi Head most of these kids have just been called up this year or last year. They are locked up for a while. Cullen will retire and Fluery will be traded to protect Murray from the expansion draft. As far as the cap goes we'll be fine. Fluery going to clear a lot of space once he's off the books and I suspect Matta's salary will be gone too. Not to mention players that will take team friendly deals to play with the 2 time defending champs. Pittsburgh going to be fine for a while. They realistically have a 3-4 year window here to be deep in the playoffs every year.

It's looking good for the Pens so far. I gotta say, everyone was so sure that if Ottawa were to make it through to the final, which they did come very close to doing, but if they did, that they would be absolutely no match for the Preds, I have to say I disagree. Not saying Ottawa would have won but, from what I have seen so far, the Sens proved to be a tougher opponent for the Pens than the Preds do so far, so I'm not sure it would have been a sweep for the Preds like everyone predicted. That being said, may the best team win, I am neutral as I don't root for either of these teams, but I will definitely be happy for whichever team does :)
All NHL workshop videos have the same flaw. The action of the games is covered only in half of the duration of the videos, the other half is useless footage of the face-offs and the teams' celebrations after a goal. There's also way too much footage of replays. You could show more of what happened during the games and make videos of the same duration.

I guessed who won before watching the video...why because this uploader has a difficult time accepting criticism. I was one of the 1st to call him out on the spoiler snapshots. I.e. Whichever team is featured on the thumbnail is the winner. This was long before the infamous Eastern Conference spoiler too. Why not just use a stock photo: team logo vs team logo & game 2 underneath.
The luckiest team to win it all in 2017. Literally everything went right for them and they scored flukey goals all series.

2nd one he had absolutely no chance, if there is someone to blame then it's the defence.

Roy Berg thank you! Matta drives me crazy! All you hear is about "potential" but when he's on the ice it's hard to tell what team he plays for. His good moments are far outnumbered by his bonehead plays. He definitely has physical talent but he way behind in the mental part of the game.
I have been noticing him messing up all through the playoffs . I have been wishing they would play Streit .
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed that Maatta is struggling. If you look at some of the "nerd stats", you'll see that he's usually an average D-man when paired with anyone other than Kris Letang and Matt Niskanen who both had strong pairings with him. (What a shock, right?) One thing to note too is he struggles mightily when paired with Daley.

Keijo it's how it works. Games 1 & 2 are at pittsburgh. Games 3 & 4 are at Nashville, then 5 is Pittsburgh, 6 is Nashville, and if there is a 7 it goes back to pittsburgh.

NHL Workshop, could you do us all a favor and not ruin the game highlights with the thumbnail. You put a player of the winning team in the thumbnail in everyone of your videos, it ruins the video when people who don't know who won when they watch the highlights. You could at least put players from both teams in the thumbnail.

You do know he isn't the only one to make game highlight videos on youtube. I watch his videos because its the first to pop up when i search for highlights. Also I could do it myself, I have a capture card and editing software. And besides how hard do you think it takes to edit videos with no special effects? In a game like the finals for example, if I were editing, I would watch the whole game make notes of the cuts I want to make at specific time points in the game, lets say a dozen cuts, takes 25 minutes, maybe less since you know when to cut just by the time period, a less than 8 min video might take 5 minutes to render, depends on your software and computer, and upload within 45 minutes of the game ending. And plus its not like he chooses to do it for free, he legally has to do it for free. Props for him making the video, all I'm saying is change the thumbnail.
This series was awful not because the pens won even though I didn’t want them to win, but Nashville destroyed other good teams who would’ve put up a better fight and they collapse, hopefully this years SCF will be more entertaining and both teams play well the whole series.
Good start to the series for the Penguins, but this series is far from over. The Penguins are going into a very hostile environment these next two games. Nashville has been very good at home I think they have only lost one game there this postseason. So they are very capable of winning two straight on their home ice. I know the Predators wont go away quietly, the Penguins just cant lose focus right now because of being up 2-0
