Hi Summer, I’m a hairdresser who works on my own. Would love to see you do this cut on yourself just to see finger positions etc. I want to do this cut on myself thanks
Hi I’m watching some of your technics of layering my own hair bc yes your hair can make us feel good or bad but unfortunately I try to find a stylists that’ll do my hair angled layering bc it just works best for my hair. But I never seem to find a stylist that will do angled layering it seems to me I either get a blunt, point cut or a rounded layering that still seems to stay at just the bottom of my hair. So I’m giving up on stylists that charges me $40+ and I tip $20-$30 to be disappointed over and over. So I bought myself some nice hair scissors and will just take my time and learn how to do my own hair. Thank you so much for great tutorials I believe this will work best for me! Again thanks 😊
I love this! Also would love to see this in reverse. Some clients (especially on very long hair) prefer long layers on the back but a lot more movement in the front. Would love to see square layers in the the back and round layers in the front!
Thanks,im going to be trying to cut my own hair and I am praying that I do it just like that and it comes out wonderful,so thank you again for the videos you do very well ❤️😊 wish me some luck 🤞💗
Awsome! i do a similar cut, the only thing i do different, is , after i finish the back,i get a general idea of how short of a face frame the client wants. Then do the samething you did, using the same finger angle tech, with a stationary guide, going short to long starting the front vs the back, i"ll have to try your version to shake things up
My haircut is actually a lot like this after growing it out from the shortcut. I just need the front and the back to blend in a little better. Thanks for the tutorial I will bring it to my hairstylist.
I’d like to see exactly how you hold your shears! I’ve not seen that done before. I just palm my shears, leaving fingers out of shears while combing a section to cut.
LOVE THIS!! I wish you would show the how to, with the blow dry tho…my hair is cut like this, basically…but often have a tough time with the blow out!! 🤪😁 TIA 😉
I appreciate your channel very much, especially because I'm in Cosmetology school! I have a question. When you created the square layers from the upper crown to the hairline and right and left parietal(side) sections, was your finger position/cutting line beveled or diagonal in a way to create movement, yet retain length, right?
Love all your videos. I have a question on using texturized scissors. Does it matter if the cut out side of the scissor is on the top or bottom? Hope that makes sense. I am not a stylist but like to cut my own hair.
I’m not a professional hairdresser but I love the simplicity of your videos. Easy to follow and the results always look great. Fortunately for me, I have really great friends that allow me to experiment on their heads 😅. I did this cut on both really long and shoulder length hair. They turned our really great. Thanks again Summer! 🎉
Summer can you give me some advice I’m in process of growing out, blunt bob. It’s a little past my shoulders, needing to know what you would do if I came in to your salon to help me grow it out a few layers ?l go to my hairdresser today.
i asked for a razor look for my thin hair and the hairdresser said when she learned people with thin hair wouldnt be good but she tried it on others and it looked good so i tried it and it just made my thin hair even thinner i should not of took the risk i feel like i have no hair like a old ladies and it to a lot of length i hope it grows back i like length on my hair but i wouldnt mind trying this cut except i dont know if i would like how the side falls in the eye all the time always pushing it back i have my hair parted in the middle but i like the cut
Play Summer I do the same haircut on myself. I have been doing here for many years cannot find a good hair stylist they just ripped right through the haircut without checking the. Where are you located.
Your videos are great. I would like to see the "model" with the hair loose and dry before you wet it and cut it to have an idea of the before and after. Also, I would like you to use a model with very fine hair to do this same haircut. I can see the mannequin has abundant, thick hair and the final result would probably look different if it had fine, sparse hair.
I am 54 and have natural curly hair. My layers are long and I feel like it just drags my face down. I really want some layers that will bring my curls up more because I feel like it would give me a more youthful, fresh and uplifted look. Unfortunately, hair stylists where I live claim to know how to cut curly hair BUT they truly don’t. So I’ve been trimming my own hair. Could you help me find a curler hair stylist?🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
On the mohawk section, couldn’t you also over direct that part and you would still get short to long layers? Not t when blending, you’d over direct it on the back to blend the opposite direction than Mohawk. Do you agree? That’s probably how I’d do that haircut.
Can you cut my hair??? Lol 😍 I loooove this haircut but, how do I ask for this when I go to the salon?? My hair has been butchered before and I don’t want it to happen again 😔
I’ve been looking for that one and I can’t find that mannequin! The ones I’ve been trying are low quality 😩 I wonder which brand in Amazon is that type of mannequin
Please, please do a LONG (passed shoulders) 'Page Boy' / 'Halo' cut with the round inward-turned (but thick - NOT thinned out) bangs that gradually frame the face going all the way down. Sort of like the longer version of the last image (the brunette girl) in this video: th-cam.com/video/UlZLcVmZ6iU/w-d-xo.html Everyone on TH-cam does the short ones. No one does the long version. Thanks in advance:)

@StylesBySummer...do u have a video on how u styled the hair? I love this look so much but not sure how to actually get it to look like this. Thank u
Very impressive!!❤
Where can i buy this comb ????
Hi Summer, I’m a hairdresser who works on my own. Would love to see you do this cut on yourself just to see finger positions etc. I want to do this cut on myself thanks
Would LOVE to see how you point cut/ round layer your own hair using a mirror! It's hard to cut one's own hair. Need some good tips.
Love your videos. Can you do a video on layers for curly, coarse hair?
You are real good. You explain and also let us see exactly what and why you are doing it. Thanks so much.I just don’t know how to save it

Would you do one in the future in reverse? Round front square back?
Me too. I'd love to be able to do this on myself.

Magnificent👏👏 love the movement. It would also look nice if you face framed up a bit. Bangs at nose level would be very flattering.
Great suggestion!
A long time to see u again because i was suffering from cervical pain in neck so that I feel very good today to see u again ❤❤❤😊😊
This is such a beautiful haircut and you are super talented. More faceframing please!
This is my dream haircut! I ❤ it so much. Thank you..your silent fan from Philippines!
Can I schedule with you to get this hair cut? If so, where are you?
Majority of my layering is done like this, makes sense to me! Less density up front, keep what you can.
I love this combination very much!!! This is so beautiful 💕.
Thank you so much!!
Ur teaching method is unique n very easy I have learnt easily thank u mam❤❤❤❤❤
This is exactly what I like - though not as short a layer at the back but I really don’t like any layering at the sides, just minimal.
Can always customize!
Awesome instructions, great channel ! This is my favorite! You are a great teacher and hairdresser ! Love it !🙏❤️
Yes, take it up a bit just yo see the difference. Thanks so much. Love the video, Summer.
I appreciate your channel very much, especially because I'm in Cosmetology school! I have a question. No not really, just as long as your finger placement is correct. So you ring finger and thumb are in the finger slots.
Yes bring the face frame up some more!
Noted!
I love this haircut. I would love to see how this could be cut on yourself, if that's even possible with those back round layers.
Love the result.
Thanks!

Please if you can do a video, would love to see how you blow dry the cut. Thanks again
Oh yes! I think this is my favorite cut you’ve done. Gorgeous!
It's so pretty right!?
💖💖
Thankyou beautyful💝😘
Hi summer I got lots of ideas e your channel thanks 🙏 so much
I love this color too!❤ Love from Greece.
It's so blonde right!?
This is a beautiful cut. I wish I had seen this cut yesterday because I cut mine and I would have loved the front longer like this one.
That haircut is amazing. I LOVE IT.
What does over directing to the middle part do?
How would this work on fine, thin natural curly hair? Also what scissors are you using? Thx.
My shears are linked in description and pinned comment! Round layers can be sometimes to much for thin hair so I would do square
Did you finish this out with just a big round brush blowout, forward/under, and then pull it back?
Might be an annoying question 😅but what comb do you use.
So well demonstrated and explained.
I love your haircut ma'am your do is always best for me.i try my costumer you do.thankz ma'am to u're toturial,❤
The Racheal hair cut great for straight hair
Summer can you give me some advice I’m in process of growing out, blunt bob. It’s a little past my shoulders, needing to know what you would do if I came in to your salon to help me grow it out a few layers ?l go to my hairdresser today.
If you're wanting to even out the distance between the layers and your length at the bottom you could bring the bottom up some to shorten the gap
Thank you for great advice 😊
@@soniasuch8029 anytime!
Beautiful cut as always Thankyou summer
I love this cut
Awesome love all of your videos ❤
Wished I had this info when I was going through school.
Love your work, it's like art and handcraft in one. Beautiful and creative🙂
This was my hairstyle ten years ago🥰 I like it! 🤩
Amazing tutorial, I learned a lot 🙏🙏❤❤😊
Glad it was helpful!

This cut is really cute❤ Ty for sharing I'm thinking about doing mine:)
Go for it!
How do I ask for this at a salon? I always want more weight at the front.
Thanks!👍❤️Goed werk!❤👍
Thanks for watching!
I love this! Asking my hairstylist for it on my next appointment

Can you cut my hair??? Lol 😍 I loooove this haircut but, how do I ask for this when I go to the salon?? My hair has been butchered before and I don’t want it to happen again 😔
I love ❤
I for some reason always feel like I need to over direct the face framing to the back! Ahhhhhh
It looks easy because you're doing it I'd love to see a human do it themselves
Ok..I’m gonna do it…hope I can get the angles correct….world’s luckiest mannequin❤❤❤
Do it! Do it! Do it!
Wow
All right so at the top ended up being layered triangular instead of square
❤❤❤
Thank you!
love uu ❤
Love uu❤❤
Hi SUMMER!!! Can you tell us where did you get that Mannequin???
Amazon and I bleached her hair.
I’ve been looking for that one and I can’t find that mannequin! The ones I’ve been trying are low quality 😩 I wonder which brand in Amazon is that type of mannequin
I wish you could cut my hair this way
❤❤❤
Ummmm isn't this a bit like the Rachel cut?😊
❤

Everyone on TH-cam does the short ones. No one does the long version. Thanks in advance:)
Dimfferent!!!
Why always annoying background music??? What for? Good content as yours does not need that artificial drama! 🍀
You're beautiful ❤
Nope… I like it as is!!!
The face frame?
Yup, i prefer more of a longer face frame
💖
Thanks!
