Old 71 year old hard working white woman here...still busting my @$$ stocking shelves in Walmart all night. I absolutely love your shorts. This is the first video I've seen. You make me laugh and make my day.
65 year old white woman here. Hang in there, sister! As long as you keep movin' and shakin', you've got your independence. The second you finally sit down, somebody will stick you in an old folks' home and forget about you! That's what I love about Mr. Indigenous, aka Eagle Blackbird, and his People. They believe every person has worth and, especially, give respect to their Elders. I live in the U.S., and the Native friends I know, have their homes filled with multiple generations of love, respect, caring, and laughter. I always come away feeling like a part of my heart has healed a bit. Okay, no more griping. Sending sisterly love from Maryland!❤❤❤
For one second I thought dude with the braids and shades was your white friend who you taught how to be native and figured it must have worked because he looks really native now 😂❤
I also thought that, especially when he repeated the question, "My name?" with a pause, and looked off in the distance; I thought bro turned to hide a laugh.
I just found you and I love your content. I live on a reservation in Wyoming (Arapaho & Shoshoni). It's sooo cool to see the similarities and differences. The tacos, and the dancing and very similar. but the beading styles and some of the dance costumes are different. I find it so interesting that no matter what tribe a person belongs to, it sounds like you all have the same accent. BTW I can't imagine anyone being able to eat two Indian Tacos (what we call them locally) let alone 7! They're HUGE not to mention what that much fry bread would do to you!
I went to a pow wow once. It was cool to see the dancing and crafting. I bought a cool beaded necklace with an eagle charm. Thought it was beautiful authentic native jewelry until I found the "made in China" sticker on it!😮 🤣
Not indigenous, but I’m a good audience member loving this content. Eagle is just precious and the auntie stories with the giggle drop are my favorite 🦅
My great aunt used to sell her beautiful beadwork at our local Pow wows. She hasn’t done that in more than 15 years but I miss those days. I wish I had more memories but I was too young. Thank you for sharing 💜 we grew up in San Bernardino county where The Yuhaaviatam (aka Serrano Clan) lived.
I went to a powwow once. The only thing I remember is that a gentleman at one of the booths had me sit in a folding chair while he explained how the Bering Strait theory was - and this is a direct quote - “bullshit.”
Last time I went to a powwow was the 4th of July Powwow at Cherokee, NC in 2007 or 2008. I'm not indigenous, but I really enjoyed the powwow, learned a lot, and spent a lot of money at Native vendors' booths & got some cool stuff that I still have/use today. I'd like to go to some more powwows sometime, and thanks for sharing this video & all your other videos. I've had some really bad days recently due to a number of things, but your comedy videos never fail to make me laugh, and your other videos, like this one, always bring a smile to my face.
Man, I just subscribed after watching your channel for awhile. I really like it. I've lived in New Mexico all my life, so I'm surrounded by Native culture. For some reason, I'm typing this in your accent. Aho. Almost feel like that white dude you're tyring to train to be Native.
I would looove to experience a Powwow once in my life, try the lemonade and the indian tacos ( and all the other yummy foods!)... But I am on the other side of the planet. Thank you for your videos, they always bring joy, even though I might not understand most of what is going on 😂❤
Dann geht's dir so wie mir..... Ich wohne in Österreich und ich weiß, daß ich indigenes Blut in mir habe. Meine Mutter hat es mir erzählt. Bei uns gibt's sowas ja leider nicht...😢
This is a real deadly first full video, man. Wholesome and eeucational stuff here and it reminded me of my indigenous ancestey. I've been really wanting to connect and learn more. Thanks for doing these, Eagle!
I visited with Diane Longboat from Six Nations 20 years ago, just to listen. She gave me ashes from the Sacred Fire and I still have some! I'm happy that my ancestors from the Scottish Highlands smudged as well. We call it saining. Drums from Powwow pull at my heartstrings like the bagpipes do! I'm a pastey Celtic Auntie. Thank you so much Eagle! I love your posts. I'll get back to you about the tacos. I'm pretty sure I'm a serious contender.
We hmong people believe in ancestors too like you guys and we do point with our faces too but thats only used when is like is right there kinda thing but man I laugh soo hard … when i was in the fourth grade i went on a field trip and somehow we got into getting indigenous names and mines was little fox dont know why or how but thats mines…. Also yes I would give you $20 and no pay back lol
Im from a white family and somehow we always ended up gojng to these as a kid in the 90s. And aaaalways left with a pretty sweet flute CD. Absolute core memory stuff.
Dude the battle between good and evil is sooo real. Everyone be getting attacked by demons. Be strong everyone. Light the flame from within. Let's keep riding this wave of existence. Love and light from Tucson Arizona
I'm confused by two things in this video. 1. It's hot in Canada? Are we talking really hot, like 90F or like 20C? 2. Fry bread seems to be far more ubiquitous than is plausible. I've had it on the Eastern Band of the Cherokee reservation in western NC and I've seen it for sale on the Crow reservation in Montana. It's also in Canada? I realize food travels, but that's some major distance. In my culture, lefse, a thin potato and flour flat bread is really only confined to Norway and Sweden, and the diaspora. Are there regional differences? Our tongue-in-cheek differences are that the Swedes make a fine lefse that is so thin you can read through it while the Norwegians make something that could be mistaken for a tortilla.
Can't really talk about fry bread, but people tend to forget Canada is very, very big and most people live close to the warmer southern border. The Grand River area in South Ontario ranges from about -20°C lows and -5°C highs in the Winter to 20°C lows and 30°C highs in the Summer (based on my experience)
I’ve never been a fan of beauty pageants, but I bet I’d enjoy seeing the Miss Indigenous Canada contest. I imagine indigenous fashion shows are especially wonderful with all of those beautiful deadly women in fabulous jingle dresses.
I just had a primal flashback when you said Hey Victor and so I looked it up and realized I actually have seen Smoke Signals (on my to-watch list) when I was like four lol
You’re hilarious. I wish I knew more about the culture, I’m fascinated. Do more vlogs! I’ve never seen a powwow before. I’m really curious about sweat lodges and things but I don’t know if you do those or not.
Aho where can I get one of those deadly hats so I can be a true uncle nephew and snag a few aunties. If you tell me I’ll let you borrow $20 thanks brother 🙏
“Creator says you have to go far away to get that good parking, because you know what, you’re late and it’s your fault.” 😂

Bring back the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Indians.

TH-cam randomly suggested your video to me. I love learning about other cultures and really appreciate you showing it through your eyes.

🐢🏝️
So what was his theory?
@@ferretyluv I don’t remember
@@ferretyluvboats, i imagine. That's one theory that anthropologists actually take seriously
Interesting. We know that some people came across the Strait. We hypothesize that others came via boat. But the theory isn't bull
Very sacred, very deadly 😗🫰🏼
As Concho myself, I approve this video. Be well above, below, in soul and all around.
I think is my favorite channel in a good way.
