    Sensei Ummah breaking down advanced fighting methods so simple that a beginner could use them in a fight. Just great.

    oh btw i do the bong sau when I don't feel or see the 1-2 or flurries of punches. I use the bong sau just to bridge my trapping so i can eventually feel and control their hands/energy. man this is good stuff! keep it coming!

    Wow functional Wing Chun for the street!! 🙌 thanks for sharing.
    You're right about Bong Sao, it's probably the most misunderstood technique in Wing Chun

  • @TheUmmahFightCamp
    @TheUmmahFightCamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    NOTE TO THIS FORUM: An individual who is a JKD practitioner commented that he uses the BONG SAU against a 1-2. Obviously he, like so many "m" artial artists, did NOT listen to my video! Here is my point AAAAAGAIN! WHY USE THE BONG SAU WHEN YOU CAN USE THE PAK FOR BOTH THE JAB and the CROSS????? The usage of unnecessary techniques is why WC and JKD are seen as being jokes by so many!!!! KEEP IT SIMPLE!

      I agree, also over emphasizing the elbow that high do not give you protection if someone shoot to the hips. Having both hands up like you showed will stop the one two and give you the ability to use your hands to push and circle away from a take down attempt toward the hips.

      I was taught bong Sao as a flinch response if SHTF , not a go to technique. If you can do a pak Sao especially from the 1-2 it’s more advantageous. Well said sayf!

    • @TheUmmahFightCamp
      @TheUmmahFightCamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@prabsinghk8208 Prab SinghK: That is exactly what it is! It is more a flinch response than a go to technique. To use it and understand what it is and how it works in PRACTICE WC MUST spar with a delivery system that allows for rapid blows and that would be BOXING. If ANY art does not spar boxing, they are NOT training for real life.

    52blocksinfo: I will allow comments in my forums, but not with videos. At that, I think you know that I do not indulge in banter between 52 block practitioners. I also go back a ways with some since it was ME who was in charge of getting the fight made between NAkmeezy and Rahmel when I was with K.A. MMA. Another one that I was a witness to was the farce between Black Taoist and Mo. That was also supposed to be at one of my former karate teachers shows in Newark. They made a show of not fighting. I choose to take the high road with all people but those who attack me personally, than I pull rank on them. As for yourself, I never thought the criticism of you was valid nor much more than jealousy. I will leave it at that. Sayf C

    Hlo sensei, i want to one thing, which is the perfect fighting style for street fights. Bcoz whatever i learned whether it is karate or boxing, i am unable to use it in street fights. Plz teach me something about this sensei, this is my humble request.

    • @TheUmmahFightCamp
      @TheUmmahFightCamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First I DO NOT recommend street fights unless they cannot be avoided. Next, Boxing and Karate and Bjj and WC ALL must be done in a live setting where the training partner is both throwing at least with 60 % intensity and being uncooperative. Chart what works and perfect that which does until they become second nature.

    I love your videos bro, but I'm gonna have to disagree with this one. I'm a karate kickboxer turned MMA fighter and I used to think wing Chun could work until I actually sparred against a wing Chun guy. My dude had no answers to low kicks, inside kicks, hooks or the side kick. Just about the only thing he did alright with was the jab and not even as he kept double hand parrying the jab into a straight right counter. This isn't even including grappling, just stand up, that junk was crazy to me. Long story short he trains MMA with us now.
    I'm obviously biased from my limited experience with the art, but there needs to be a special kind of person to pull that style off in a real fight.

    • @TheUmmahFightCamp
      @TheUmmahFightCamp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mark Messi: It is nothing to disagree with lol! I SAID MY WC works. And it does. Biu Ji (thrusting fingers) is part of WC lol. I will jam my fingers in the eyes of an MMA fighter in a minute, not to mention I have been cross training since 1976 and have seen people since think that MMA is fighting. Nope! I HAVE a school! I have been clear to ALL people that they came come see a friendly way that I would handle any attack.
