That's blows my mind as well. I know they're a team of people who are paid to do this and they know how to do it, but 2 months is not a lot of time to design, build, and test 4 massive machines. Wow!
I was disappointed that my favorite house bots Mr. Psycho, Growler, and Cassius Chrome weren't made. But it seriously bugged me they never did a modern version of Sgt. Bash.
according to the modern rules, fire weapons aren't allowed. If sgt. Bash was to return he'd need a different weapon since that breaks the rules (The only exception is the flame pit, since it is a hazard, not a weapon
Chris Reynolds (BBC Visual Effects guy from original series) said recently on an interview that he lied about the offical weight of the original House Robots because he didnt want them to seen massively heavier than contestants. He claims the original Sir Killalot was closer to 700KG by the end of the original run of robot wars, which is an interesting claim given than the revamped newer version in the recent series was 750kg.
I spy with my little eye at about 0:50 next to yellow thing in the background what looks like a Razer style crusher (maybe a prototype for Spectre/Quantum? ) behind the white table. Could be wrong though.
I heard a humour that Carbide got into an 'after cease called' ruck with the house robots. in which killalot lost an arm and shunt lost its rear bucket. I dunno if this is all conjecture but apparently the bbc decided not to air that particular exchange for some reason. I really hope that was true and I can't for the life of me figure why they wouldn't broadcast it. that would of been epic to see!!!
Thanks, this was a real treat :) That drill on Killalot, does it work? At one point in the very early seasons it DID drill. Also do the original versions exists still? The old Killalot looked much more menacing..
There was always one big thing that put me off; the weight of the house robots compared to the weight allowed by contestants. I mean they said in that vid that matilda is 300kg, well you couldnt build your own because it would be over weight. Its obvious if you put a grass hopper up against a sumo wrestler...
Aye, but this is all of the current line up. They have all been rebuilt for the "rebooted" Robot Wars, they are basically all new machines. I did quite like Growler though.
I remember hearing an interview that the older robots are still around but have had some mechanical pieces removed from them as they would be useless to the robots these days so I guess they're partially just shells now.
I miss sgt bash :( who is the only original house robot missing from the current group
he was kind of useless tho
He was good at killing diotoir though
Refbot, mr psycho, growler and thank god Cassius Chrome didn’t come back either....
@@robotwarsfan9000 robot wars fan but doesn’t like Cassius Chrome 🤣 ok.
Is that john reid in the back ground ?
4:32 John Reid (builder of Terrorhurtz combat robot) and Ellis Ware (builder of Pulsar combat robot) in the background?
And also Craig from Apex
UwU WhAt'S tHiS
really wish sgt bash and mr psycho were rebooted
The house robots are so cool, on TV it looked like Sir Killalot was black but he is still blue.
Crazy Chris X X
Can anyone explain why Razer is at @4:00 just chilling next to shunt?
Looks like a smaller less detailed version. Kinda like the Series 2 Razer only scaled down a bit with the wings.
They built the 4 house bots in 8 WEEKS!?!
That's blows my mind as well. I know they're a team of people who are paid to do this and they know how to do it, but 2 months is not a lot of time to design, build, and test 4 massive machines. Wow!
“Cant have people attacking house robots”
Apollo- “hold my beer”
_your obviously not an OG watcher_
Razer: *sneers at apollo* “I destroy the house robots I don’t flip them over”

@@alexbevan2183 “don’t ruin the meme asshole”
In the most recent episode Apollo almost flips killalot I was like go on do it lol

I would love to find them .
Great vid also just noticed when they're talking about Shunt to the right him is Venom the mini version of Razer.
It's to the left of Shunt not right
Oh yeah, I'm looking at it from my right.

Yeah I read Shunt in the original series actually weighed 220kg but was billed as 105kg

Hobgoblin managed to break Killalot's claw arm and Shunt's axe blade.
Thanks, this was a real treat :) That drill on Killalot, does it work? At one point in the very early seasons it DID drill.
Also do the original versions exists still? The old Killalot looked much more menacing..
KiyokaMakibi I was told by Robo Challange that the drill does not spin at the moment.
I cant remember the fight, but I have seen old killalots drill actually peirce a bot.
They do exist still think they’re in storage at the BBC
Why are mr psycho and the rejects not there
I think you answered your own question!;)
Razer just chilling next to shunt there :D
It's actually *Venom,* the Featherweight (13.6kg) version the Robo Challenge group made as a tribute to Razer.

i miss mr psycho and growler
Is that Razer right next to Shunt?
I just realized how big the houserobots are..Matilda is way bigger then I thought
what is razer doing there 3:40
It's actually a featherweight version of Razer called "Venom" which was built by Robo Challenge.
To be honest the real razer already killed Matilda and that was shocking!!
Where are the other house robots?
That's all of them.
There used to be Refbot, Growler, Mr Pyscho and Sgt Bash

@@levitikan and Cassius Chrome
No ones gonna point out he’s got razer as well?
That’s not Razer. It’s a feather weight called Venom.
I wish they brought back the old house robots as well
Razor is in the line up next to shunt
God, those new versions of the House Robots looked hideous. What a sh*t show that reboot was.
Sir killerlot and matilda's designs were BUTCHERED in the reboot
