    Your very first sentence on this video pretty much summed it up. I try so hard to teach my (adult) son this stuff, but it's easier for him to just ask mom for money. I starved once, years ago, and that is a huge incentive. It makes me so sad seeing the huge amounts of money many people waste.
    It's very important to give back to society, as much as you can. If you can't give money, donate your time, and not just to organised charities, help anyone who is in need. There is always someone who has less than you.
    I gave a sum of money recently to help the people in Beirut- they are really suffering since the blast, and the next day I made a very good (and random) buy on a stock which returned my donation a thousand times the next day. It works.
    Very good video Jaspreet. But, I suspect you are preaching to the choir here :)

    I got the mindset, I'm working up my income, I'm paying my self, I stopped the payments, and I'm being patient. :) Guess I'll be wealthy one day. :)

  • @connorsdad1841
    @connorsdad1841 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Another great video.
    I've been watching lots of your videos over the past week and you are absolutely spot on regarding the mindset. Through my business I've encountered them all, those who pretend to be wealthy, those that are jealous of genuinely wealthy people and those that moan about their present situation yet do nothing to change it 🤦🏻‍♂️
    I have friends that are millionaires and friends that are stone broke, the difference between their mindsets is astonishing. My wealthy friends buy things they like but will also increase their wealth, using passive income to pay for them. My broke friends, well their mentality, wow...
    Eg
    If the boiler breaks in the property they rent then it's the landlords problem and not theirs, so in their mind they're saving 2k to 3k it's costs to fix it. The fact that they don't even own the front door on a property they pay for every month doesn't concern them at all. To me that is just bonkers!

    For guac, you also need to buy cilantro, onions, tomatoes, salt, garlic, and limes. And then you need to spend the time making the guac. Plus, you have to drive to Kroger. So, really, if you add it all up, then $3 for a side of guac actually makes more sense.

    Its all about perspective, which we usually get from our elders and peers because, most of us live in small to big bubbles. Step out and see a different perspective, that is not geared towards being materialistic and careless....living in excess only hurts the environment around you! Wealth is needed to protect you and your loved ones but there is a limit....stop keeping up with the Jonses! Its a loosing battle! Real wealth is time spent with loved ones and inner peace!thanks for the knowledge the younger generation needs to understand this more than ever now! 👍

    As much as we all want build wealth long term, sometimes spending a reasonable amount right now is ok so you can find the best balance between sacrificing quality of life right now and gaining quality of life later. At the same time, you have to be super careful, and think “if I buy this right now, will I regret it in a couple months?”. For example, I’m saving up for a new bike because my last one got stolen, and riding bikes is something that I’m passionate about and have been for years. It will bring me long term happiness as well as exercise. AT THE SAME TIME, I don’t need to order food every time I got the munchies, or buy expensive clothes every couple of months, I don’t need that stuff and the money can be put to far better use. Balance is key, and it all depends on how much you want to gain and how fast.
