Any new recommendations it seems the price on SB adversaries has gone up and a bit hard to get. I dig the SB look. Any other current SBs worth picking up?
This is a good video. I agree with the Altra analysis, thanks for sending me down that rabbit hole. I got a pair in the summer after the review video and as much as I like them their price is prohibitive.
I've footbaged on and off over the years, Lavers dig into my ankle. I used Puma Clydes before and just ordered a new pair of those. I'm not ghat good, i just do normal stuff, clipper stalls, osis, just basic stuff. It's a good workout though.
Ok after like 15 years I’m going to attempt to start kicking again. Do you have suggestions of current day shoes that are in stock? My Rod Lavers are long since trashed and gone. Anything come to mind?
Sure do! www.passbackfootbag.com/shoes has current availability and stats, video, etc. You might want to jump right to Quantums, but I like the TOMS for a lower-cost option.
The only one we've tried is the Adversary. The Blazer does not look very promising. I just took a glance through the SB line on their site, and the only other one that looks like it could be decent is the "Force 58." A shop near me has them, so I'll try to go check them out in person soon and report back.
I saw the Force in person and they didn't have the right shape, unfortunately. But currently I'm trying the Alleyoop, and despite being on the heavy side, I really like them! Review to come, but I'd say unless you absolutely need lightweight shoes they're a good recommendation.
Basing off of pictures, they have a similar shape to the Adversary, but the material looks thicker, and the instep dips inward, which would make stuff on the inside surface a nightmare. Probably decent on the toe surface.
@@PassBack Ok yea I have had them for a bit an the inside surface kicks that I have been practicing were a little tricky...other than that they seem to be fine for beginning
They don't seem to make them at all anymore :'( I updated the other shoe review videos with current availability, but I forgot this one, thanks for the reminder. If you check the channel links and find the "resources", I put together a chart of shoes and where to get them that you can check out.
6:04 Where did that shoe come from?! Amazing. 🤣
Love the review and your hair.

Great videos! Novice casual freestyle player but really enjoy the videos.

Thank you! Glad you are liking the Altras. If not for the Adversary I'd probably go back to those.

Doing a new quantum review soon?
I've got it in progress, so should be out fairly soon!

@@PassBack what a great resource to have. Thank you!!!
Are all Nike SB good or is it just adversary? Is Blaze OK?

@@PassBack Sorry for the late reply. Did you ever try the Force 58s? Unfortunately the adversary isn't available in my country.

Blaze has a good shape...toe is a bit narrow.
I just look for rod lavers still that use the old lightweight materials
not too many of those around n e more though.

What about heritage vulc?

Does vans slip-ons work as a good stater shoe?
I wouldn't buy them specifically for footbag (small inside surface), but if you've already got them then give them a try!

We're big advocates for starting with what you've got; you can always upgrade your gear, but don't let it stop you from learning and having fun :)
