    Well Hello, I realize it's been a while seen you posted this but.... I have a 69 Camaro convertible with power windows, I adjusted my windows by loosening all the bolts to just snug and slowly shut the door and it moved the bolts close to the correct position. I removed the regulator and adjusted the window to where I could lift it easily by hand and like you re-lubed the tracks. Also your windows moved very fast compared to mine, I actually disassembled the electric motors in the rears, cleaned and re-lubed the internals and got them to close the rear windows in just shy of 2 seconds. The front ones, the brushes and stator were too worn, so I bought news and installed them on the regulars and they close the windows as quick as the rears, I also replaced the switches they were getting hot from the motor drag. Any how I enjoy you videos, you are so funny!! 😆 Keep on keeping on, by the way, Mustang Central is gone now, I saw your video film there.😟 Well have a wonderful day and God Bless you. Take Care!!

      I recommend checking grounds too. a lot of GM guys are doing relays for the windows. Thanks for the kind words! I miss Mustang Central, Allen is a good man that got caught in a bad situation.

      @@AutoRestoMod Yes it's weird driving by there and not seeing the shop. Good catch on the grounds, I actually put a braided ground strap across the hinges to help with the grounding issues and also replaced the original one one the rest of the car as well. Keep on keeping on and God Bless!!

    I have bought parts from NPD before and wasn't impressed at all. I sent most of them back because they were made in Twain or some other country. I know you said you never did it before and I am not going to break your balls about that. The first set of adjustments are for the glass forward and back with a little in and out movement. It can take 4-8 hrs to properly do just 1 side. I am talking about none elec. and changing all the tracks inside. It's a tough job for sure. I am sure you helped out some people who want to try this on there own . Good job over all .

      Well, 99 percent of all parts come from overseas. Mostly China. NPD seeks the best available and buys that. In cases where they can, I have seen NPD produce parts; like the 1970-79 dash pad for the Camaro. The alternative to the stuff available is usually "Poke and Grit" meaning poke out your bottom lip and grit your teeth because you ain't gettin' no parts. Thanks for not giging me on the first time thing. =)

    Hi I was wondering if you were familiar with the windows on a 69 Mach 1.My question is, is there a gasket that sits in the metal tracks before you glue them in or is it all glue.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not as familiar. I know that a lot of guys will move to the '70 glass to get away from the glue in. West Coast Classic Cougar did a comprehensive guide on the glue in glass: th-cam.com/video/xoTKxAwmnCc/w-d-xo.html

    Working on a customer's 68 Camaro, his right door is wonky and wobbly. Used the new fuzzy glass guides at the top and they stopped the wobble, but his door panel is fighting the new parts going back on, tried rolling the top of the door panel over but that clip on the rear keeps bulging out the top. Any tips/advice? Great video by the by, thanks.

      Some of the aftermarket door panels are a bit of fit and fiddle. Honestly hard to know what to say not being there. Can you send pics to jford@autorestomod.com? I can get a better idea of the issues.

    When both front and rear glass are out, which one do you adjust first? I’m assuming the front? Also? This is for a 68 Camaro convertible.

      I do quarter windows first then door glass as the door glass is set to the quarter glass.

    Some of what you are trying to do can be done with the back glass adjustment.

    Do you have the measurements for the rear window opening? I put new quarters on and would like to know the vertical and horizontal measurements.

      Sorry, no we don't. The car belongs to a friend of ours and we don't have ready access. I might suggest hitting the Camaro forums.

    Lower the latch pin on the door jam.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What you want is a neutral door setting. It should shut well without the latch plate in. Remember, the latch plate isn't an adjustment point. All of your door adjustments are handled elsewhere.

    I have a 1967 Camaro and the driver’s side glass won’t go up the entire way to meet the top seal. Could this be the wrong glass in the car or faulty adjustment?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably the stops for the glass need to be moved.

    • @rhodycars6058
      @rhodycars6058 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AutoRestoMod Car Restoration Modification the front is lined up but the middle to rear is too low. Wasn’t sure if it could be the wrong glass over all maybe like a firebird if they were different

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The glass on them is common. Check the total glass. how is it sitting in relation to the body and rear quarter glass? I would try and check the stops with the door panel off.

    Camera people are pretty cheap, how many did you take out with flying old parts this time?

      Good shot actually, I gave Andrew a leg wound and Darrin a black eye. Logan was too fast and ducked...this time.
