That, coupled with the ingrained belief that they're somehow better because they're richer, and their education was expensive is the perfect recipe for the confidence and arrogance that they can run governments and large organisations. His opening statements, or rather omissions from his opening statements summed it up neatly for me. To paraphrase; "He's here so lessons can be learnt for the future (but definitely not to take responsibility for the past)." I guess he'll leave that to the people who due to his actions are dead.
Those WhatsApps that I lost a case at the high court over handing them over? Oh I accidently still lost them.
Nobody told me going to restaurants during a pandemic was a *BAD* idea, just like no one told me filming myself ridding around in a car without a seat belt was a bad idea.
My focus was on protecting the poorest communities... despite the fact there's that film of me bragging about taking money away from poorer areas during my membership bid and giving it to those who are already too rich to notice it.

When the Police go to a wanted criminals home, getting the suspects phone in tact is even more important than arresting the suspect himself. This is because they can retrieve anything from that phone (and gain a full understanding of what has really gone on), then question the suspect and can compare what he says with what they have found on the phone. If they find out the suspect is lying, this can then be used as a `Provable lie` in court, in which case the suspect will be absolutely screwed over by the court.
They can get those messages off their phones, but they are choosing not too. This is simply a show of strength from the establishment to show us its one rule for them and one rule for us.

Wow, Hugo represented liddle ole me when I booked into a hotel and
attempted to give them the leave after I realised on my last night
there, that I was unable to pay the £600 bill for a weekend around 2003.
I was asked what barrister I wanted to defend me & specifically asked
for him by name, but by serendipity really. My solicitor instantly said
    'Good choice!'
I wasn't too familiar with all the names of the barristers though
knew them more by face at their Raymond Burr building HQ.
I was initially disappointed when I first saw Hugo wasn't the guy I expected
to see in court foyer, I'd obliviously got the names mixed up.
I was also almost an hour late & had left him waiting after he had spent
over an hour on the journey from London to Reading by train. I did actually
ring him up before my appointed time to say I would likely be a 'tad late.'
When I finally arrived, I remember he had all his documents stored
in a big case he carried with him on one of those luggage cart, wheely
    contraptions.
I was impressed how gracious he was with me after he had to request
the proceedings be delayed & apologize to the court for my absence,
when I had phoned him to say I was running late.
We ran over the details of the case, which he said he had only read on the train
trip to Reading. Although I was surprised how well he seemed to have took in all
the details in such a short time. I was expecting probably jail or at least community
service since I had also committed deception by booking in using false credentials,
    posing as a 'businesswoman'!
I being a guy, nor the hotel staff realized, or at least they never raised the issue with
me, that the identity I used was that of a ladies named 'Imogen'!
For expedience sake I shan't go into all the details regarding the hotel but to say I
was homeless & penniless, after I had recently been completely cleaned out of all
possessions. The guy responsible, I had allowed stay at my house in turn for
chauffeuring me around & helping me move out. But after I got out for a moment
one cold evening, he stole my vehicle with all my home contents in, cheque book &
card, clothes, work tools, machinery etc., leaving me on the street watching him
    disappear in the distance!
Since I was moving to a new area & workshop after building up my skills & tools
for over a year, I had put all my worldly belongings(Inc. stuff from my childhood)
into the vehicle & was ready to build a new life elsewhere.
Hugo put my case across extremely well & the Magistrate was very understanding.
The magistrate remarked that I had already shown remorse, by pretty much
apologizing right away & after a brief scuffle. I also had pretty fair mitigating circumstances. I was man handled & roughed up by hotel staff whom were in pursuit!
I realize now as Hugo told me, that as long as you make the offer to pay the bill off when able, there's not a lot they can do about you leaving, though I'd just panicked!
I was relieved & a tad shocked when my penalty was simply an order to pay the hotel bill & court costs!
After all I had been living on the street literally, for around a couple of weeks by then &
had initially intended to pay the bill with money I was expecting to receive. The cash
didn't transpire since I also caught Impetigo during my last couple of days on the
streets which got pretty bad whilst in the hotel rendering me incapacitated briefly &
    covered in big facial scabs!
I was very grateful to Hugo & I sent a small token of my appreciation by sending
a couple of gifts to them at the firm. I only recall one gift, it was a Collins pocket
    reference book.
I do recall him saying he used it rather frequently.
Of the times I met Hugo Keith KC, apart from being obviously very adept at his job,
I found him easy in communicating my issues to & taking meticulous attention
to small details that the average person would probably find mundane. Yet he'd
a knack to find some overlooked detail that would often turn the whole situation
around & felt him generally a genuine likable guy.
I used to have my own business valeting & selling cars & parts inc. most other
vehicles for cash & do repairs(& still do similar part time now though)
Though I often witnessed the same police officers at the car salvage yard that I
frequented. It's actually illegal for police to have a 2nd undeclared job, let alone
doing what I strongly suspected at the time, putting written off cars back on the
roads using 'dead-ringers' & another cars reg documents!
One of the cops, sergeant King, didn't like me there for obvious reasons & started
harassing me, then had a campaign of laying a host of trumped up charges on me.
Although after consulting Hugo's law firm, I had three not guilty verdicts in a row!
All from false accusations targeted at me by the same corrupt police sergeant,
Mr King each time. He was caught out on virtually every lie!
Eventually I had him not only moved to a different police station, but also sent back
to training school at Hendon police college. Although most common folk would go to
    jail for perjury.
I never had any further harassment after that.
Coincidentally, after checking police records, it appears the same officer is up for
another incident, this time a gross misconduct hearing again this week(Failing to
    report an incident, bribery etc)
I would say I always had a very good & particularly close relationship with the head
secretary, 'Jim' & also all the staff & partners, at the then named 'Edward, Fail, Neil
& Co' law practice, based in Crown Road, St Margaret's, Twickenham.
They were the only Law firm I would ever use or trust & felt entirely confident I could
rely upon(who dealt with anything from litigation to business law).
I'd say I realize only now more fully really, how privileged & humbled I was to have my law firm respect me
enough to grace me with probably some of the best lawyers & barristers in London &
    probably the whole of England!
Hats off to Hugo with the inquiry so far. These people we voted for & paid for with our taxes, need accountability. The countries health services have been gradually becoming less & less functional & sucked dry over recent years.
Our nearest hospital needed to sell half the land it used for staff quarters to Tesco's! Now we need go 10 miles to the nearest hospital with an emergency dept. We were obviously not equipped nor primed for a national crisis like COVID.
Hugo will leave no stone unturned & the truth will likely be laid out for all to see.
    'The truth is out there!'😉

So they can lie under oath about the deaths of those under their control and then go off for dinner. They can keep it.

This Enquiry might as well stop now and no more cost be made to the public purse. Everybody did a fantastic job nothing could have been done better. All spending on emergency PPE was necessary and provided value for money thanks Baroness Mone. Track and trace was brilliant! The roll out for the jabs went without a hitch thanks to people like Hancocks pub landlord. They are still giving people boosters although they are out of date so good luck with that! They will never ask the questions people want answering.

What was the outcome of this ? Did anyone get punished? Did anything change ? Is there an overhaul of the bureaucracy machine. The simple answer is NO. So what was the use of this inquiry ? Other than to suck the public anger and give them a painkiller that makes them think that something is being done.
