The husband disrespects his mil with a $20.00 gift card to "the mart" and yet pays hundreds of dollars if not more for his own mother's birthday trip. After all that he has the gall to ask his mil for money so he can buy himself stuff. He is arrogance personified as his parents.

The best and most precious gift my husband ever gave me was for our 30th anniversary. He made a video with a mix of music that makes him think of me over the 32 years we have been together along with pictures of us and oir children throughout the years. No, it's not the only thing he got me, but it was the most beautiful and precious thing he ever gave me. Better than any expensive shoes, purses, or jewelry he could have bought.

If one partner would only give a $20.00 dollar gift card to 'the Mart' and then spend hundreds of dollars for his mom vacation. To me this means that the one partner doesn't honor or respect not just his mil but his wife because he and his family is much more important.

Who gives someone over 16 a $20 gift card?.. why not just give her the $20? you have to pay for the gift card😂.. what was she supposed to do with that $20?. it's William and his parent's audacity for me.. his parent's are more important than hers? The lies he telling... why would his mom be more important than hers? She didn't raise her, she's not her mom.. I would've gave her a $20 gift card also🤷🏾‍♀️... his parent's are ungrateful.. if William wants to go into never ending debt to buy presents for his mom, that is his prerogative.. it has nothing to do with his wife.. people like William and Tasha will have you bankrupt and homeless.. they spend money like it grows on trees. It's good she got out when she did.. she would've NEVER gotten far in life staying in that family.. they're a family of users and takers.. William will be sleeping under a bridge if he keeps listening to his parent's.. no parent would ask you to go into debt buying them stuff... William was basically buying his parent's love and acceptance

Sends his MIL (main character's mother) a $20 gift card for her birthday... Sends his own mother on a holiday and spends thousands of dollars. Ridiculous. Why didn't he just send both his mum and MIL on a vacation together? That's what I would have done. Not only is it a great opportunity for two of the most important women in my life (other than my Nana) to get together and bond, it would be a great present. However, I'd only do this if my mother and the mother of my spouse like one another and want to spend that time together.
The only other fair thing would have been to send a gift card of equal value to both ladies. Either that or send them both to a spa retreat for the day (separately, of course). That way you are spending the same amount of money on both your MIL and your mum.

I do personally think with a bit more context that I saw. The 20 most definitely could have been more or something she'd like. The 500 per month for living expenses. I think it sounds pretty bad just hearing it, but after knowing the information of she might become homeless. Sure. It's a really good gift. So i do think he's in the wrong for just giving 20. But she shouldn't have made such a big fuss about it then and there.
I know I'm making it easy for getting gifts for my future Wife. I love Transformers, Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. Including One Punch Man. So once I tell her that after we meet. It'll be very easy to get me something as a gift.

It’s because of the system we have, all over the age of 67 has the right to a minimum pension from the government. This goes all over in Scandinavia. We also have almost free healthcare, in my country it’s a top of about 300 dollars a year. We don’t need insurance for that. That’s why I can’t comprehend.
