Ex-interior designer here: Excellent well thought out house, I can see the thought, particularly the garage to mud to laundry to butler's to kitchen ✅ The wainscoting is lovely ✅ I would replace the vj to wainscoting in the downstairs hallway and add window treatments like a soft off white curtain to most rooms because the black framed windows become too angular and jarring. But overall, awesome job 🎉✅
Lovely tour as always. The floors and wainscoting are done nicely. Downstairs: A toilet then another toilet in the shower in the next room is poor design. Remove the toilet from the bathroom to open up the shower space. It looks quite cramped in there. Kitchen: Splashback in the kitchen could have been a window to let in more natural light. It feels restricted by the adjoining wall on the right to the patio area. The butler's kitchen achieves this and should have been switched around with a splashback there and the windows in the main kitchen area. Living room: There was an opportunity to have bifold doors across the space where the two separate glass sliding doors are but instead there are two walls blocking the view and restricting both spaces from being truly open.
Classic Queenslander interior. Why not call it what it is? The Hamptons are a very long way away and the Hines there are nothing like this architecturally. 'Classic Federation Queenslander decorated in the Hamptons style' would be better marketing. ❤
