By selecting a colour further out from your colour grading circle you are incresing saturation. if you wanted less saturation choose a colour closer to the centre, saving processing power with an extra filter. You also said in you fade ins and outs that you set them to 20 seconds, this is incorect. The further most right number represents your frames and the maximum number that will display here will depend on your project settings. Love the use of the crop source filter. I didn't think of using that. Great vid
Even though Premier is more advanced than Shotcut, you can certainly try to replicate some of these editing techniques that is used in premier. It might take longer to get the edit you want but despite the tools it really just comes down to technique.
durations set for fade was 20 frames not seconds. could have cropped the lens flare same as V1 source much quicker and more accurate by copying filter from v1. Key in the lens flare for more control. Don't use opacity on that.
Yea, I actually have a video on how to adjust the speed of a clip. All you have to do is select on the video clip then go to the "properties tab" and select the speed of the clip and adjust it by either increasing the number for slow motion or decrease it for fast motion. I go over this process in more detail in the video, but its a simple process.
when making a music video with lots of scenes would i have to do this to every scene one by one or there a copy paste method where i can add the exact filter to other scenes?
There is a copy and past button that you can use so you can past the filters on every clip. Or you can just save the color grade as a preset and use it every time.
I didn't add any filters, I was just emphasizing about all the different filters that are available for you to use in Shotcut. Hope that answers your question!
You can go to free stock footage sites and look for city drone footage. I got this one from the Filmora stock library, but I'm I think you have to pay for the subscription.
You don't need to use this exact look. I actually have a video showing how you can use LUT packs to get any look that you want for your video. th-cam.com/video/XpYC18N8eKU/w-d-xo.html

@@EJTech. thank you so much i appreciate your help!!!
"20 seconds fade in" LOL
Why didn't you just crop the overlay same as you did with the original clip instead of trying to fit it?
Its not 20 seconds its 20 miniseconds
Can't you change the blend mode of the lens flare clip?
thank you so much man i was struggling because my effect just darkened my video

Use the EXPORT function. That will save the file as an MP4
use export and type youtube if you want export it as MP4
Does adding filter minimize the quality of the video?
Nope
@@EJTech. 🧐
4:18 which filter did you apply at that time ?
I didn't add any filters, I was just emphasizing about all the different filters that are available for you to use in Shotcut. Hope that answers your question!
I dont have crop source
where can I find the building footage?
You can go to free stock footage sites and look for city drone footage. I got this one from the Filmora stock library, but I'm I think you have to pay for the subscription.

Can we be friends?
So cinematic view has to be colder, darker and bluer. Kind of depressing. I like colors to pop, not be oppressed into color tyranny.
You don't need to use this exact look. I actually have a video showing how you can use LUT packs to get any look that you want for your video.

@@EJTech. I will watch it. Thanks
what? you don't have to use those colors -_-
