Are the chickens let out to roam free occasionally, or must they stay in the cages the whole time? The cage space looks quite small for each chicken

Seng Choon eggs are getting shitty over the years. Its so different from those I had 20~30 years ago. Possibly crappy feed being fed to the chickens. Brittle, thin egg shells, tiny egg york with water egg white. Now I switched to imported eggs.

Can’t say I remember how their eggs were like 20-30 years ago. The yolk of the carrot eggs that we buy are pretty good in size and we know the feed is fortified with calcium for a stronger shell.

This video is so sad. Imagine being cooped up in a confined space with so many other hens. Why can't the factory have the hens run around freely in a big enough space and still have the hens lay eggs? Surely that would be more humane and healthier for the hens. Don't believe it's a space problem. Less carpark space and other innovative solutions will address the problem.

Unfortunately, this is the way it is in land scarce Singapore.

The thing is people know what conditions these hens live in. we have free range alternatives in our stores. but most people, myself included, can't justify the extra cost as we don't really care enough for these hens. sad but it's reality.

@@darkcnight not really, i only buy free range eggs from the supermarkets. i am looking around for a video to see exactly how free ranged they are
