    Hey family.
We (my husband, 1 year old son and I) are coming to Kenya in about a week's time and we will be visiting Nairobi & Watamu. After watching a few of your videos I am in awe and even more excited than before. I wish we booked longer because your lists from this and other videos are just so enticing.
I've literally got my pen and notebook, writing all your tips down. I hope we will be able to do a lot of these things with out 1 year old as I see you do quite a lot with your daughter.
We are coming from Qatar btw so will be a nice change.

If you don't manage to do it all, I guess you'll have to visit again 🙌😊

Thanks for the video. One of the things good about your videos is emphasizing where "locals" can hang which is super!

About the ruins .... Slavery happened to the Mijikenda people (native to Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu counties) under the Arabs.
The Arabs captured the Mijikenda people and sold them as slaves back in the Middle East.
They actually still mistreat African workers in the Middle East to this day. It got so bad that the Media got involved in sensitization. And if you go to the passport office in Mombasa today, you'll see posters there warning the Mijikenda people from working in the Middle East.
It's okay to appreciate Arabic architecture and such, but the real history is ugly, less known and less talked about.
Note: Not every Arab is a bad person. However, it's good to know and acknowledge history as it was.
