Time for the legend, the enigma, the misunderstood behemoth of cool hipster cocktails... The Negroni.
This drink is basically the ultimate version of Dave's entire cocktail ethos represented in a single, simple recipe. The smallest amount of steps to get to a result that's so much more than the sum of its parts.
Having said that, Dan thinks it tastes like burnt My Little Pony dolls so... ya know...

@@Vaimi.N Aw man. (Dave here), I was in Amsterdam last week and this bartender at The Flying Dutchmen (great bar) kept trying to give me a Paper Plane every single round. In retrospect it's ludicrous I resisted cause i'm an absolute Amaro fiend. I goaded him into collaborating with me to create something new with this stuff called Amaro Bomba instead (ever heard if it? I hadn't... beautiful Amaro with delightful strawberry notes) and he made me one of the best drinks i've ever had and called it an Amarosa.
Asked him for the spec to give him a shout out and it was a FUCKING PAPER PLANE TWIST 😄

@@thisisdavesbar Amaro Bomba is delightful, haven't used it much because it's strangely hard to acquire at a good cost in Chicago, excellence demands compensation, But I do like it. I'll be sticking around for sure, I love the banter, after leaving my first comment I've binged all your videos, I can't wait until you really pop off.
They sound like a great bartender, giving you what they know you would like even if you didn't want it. hoping you do an episode on paper planes soon? Probably not super soon though given the r&d, But I'm looking forward to it if/when it happens.
