We had one of those old school ones on the Lake shore Limited. It was filthy! I hope you wiped everything down. Especially the toilet and sink. Our antibacterial wipe was black before we used everything.

Excellent video, sorry but i had to correct you as to the G C Terminal. Most Americans get it wrong. I from New Jersey and have a trip in two weeks to New Orleans. I'm glad the full dinner service has been restored.

The original Silver Meteor was owned by the Seaboard Air Lines and was also the first railroad passenger train to have florescent lights and the locomotive was a diesel that was attached to the train in Washington D.C. Union Station. The service started in 1938.

It's called Grand Central TERMINAL because at one time all trains started and ended there.

The one called Grand Central station is the subway stop for the Lexington Ave. Subway for the 4,5,6, subway trains.

What did you think about the toilet in the roommate, would you prefer to use that or a shared toilets that everyone uses in that car. What is your favorite meal on this train. Also how many hours of uninterrupted sleep did you get on this train.

I got around 7 hours sleep on the train, which I was really happy with! My favourite meal was the French toast. I don’t mind using shared bathrooms, particularly as these were kept clean and stocked, and did so during the day. I did used the toilet in the roomette overnight and only because I was travelling solo.
