Being a electrician as I am forever that's is a circular 40w 4pins fluorescent lamp it's runs off a 36-40w.240v ballast.and 220-240v.4--65w starter lamp switch motor there.have a good summer holiday from this electrician from London.
Amazed that it starts so quick as i have 2 of these circular fittings and even when ive replaced the tube and used a new starter you always get that quick.. flick -flick ON as the starter kicks it up,unless its an electronic starter in that phillips type.
Do you know where there might be a video on wiring a replacement circline type socket (Gaynor 709-1)? I am rewiring a HVAC UV light (Aprilaire 1910). I wanted to replace the bulb socket but I can't figure how to get the wires into the socket. I think it is a push-fit but I don't see a wire release anywhere on it which is unusual. Thanks.
so I found out my starter holder is broken and I don't know how to remove the previous wires and attach the new ones I just bought. can you help teach that to me?
Would really help I have just got a 12v florcent light I really don't know how to turn it on , I have tried to use it with batteries but ain't turning on can I send you it's pic if you can send me your email
Straight to the point, Clear information, No BS, PERFECT! Thank you!

Been looking for hours on TH-cam best video I've seen thanks
Your explanation is by far the best one, very easy to understand and its helped me a out a great deal. Thank you
Also, that starter is sometimes integrated into the ballast instead of being separate.
This was excellent. Thank you for your help. Keep making these education yet simple videos

Since the ballast is 36W or 40W and the bulb is 32W. Would it cause any damage to the bulb?
i just bought a multimeter and i wanna know can i test the starter with it and how thanks
Dont there is an easy way of testing starters, apart from just putting them into a known working light.
@@FixitSam thanks will do
