Calcutta 64 is an emotion. So many memories. Also, it started when the Cafe culture was not so popular in core Salt Lake areas barring sector 5.

I'm a resident of salt lake & I can definitely say there are plenty of cafes selling at somewhat similar price . Outnbeyond has really nice & fancy decor but they should keep in mind to keep the food costs average . Rental prices in salt lake are pretty high . If you keep average prices then you can definitely boost up your buisness

I was so much excited to visit the cafe but after seeing the price I realize that at first I have to get a job bcoz it's not affordable for college students like me😢

Liked the Cafe facade. The garden looks cute. Liked the ‘Stay blessed’… logo placement idea ( definitely they are trying hard to connect with their IO subscribers and it is a witty idea) but the Cafe decor is way too cluttered. As Arpita mentioned nothing was much planned and it was all improvisations. Which shows clearly!!

I agree to the part “the cafe decor is way too cluttered”-i like the look of it, but I just have the feeling that they overdid it with the wall hangings and posters on every wall, it’s slightly killing the classy look of the place which is honestly well done
In Bangladesh the price of these foods might be doubled..I know these prices are not pocket friendly for most of the people..But guys,they came from another sector.. The way they started this journey is really appreciating..they did all the little & little things by their own. It seems that they are emotionally so much connected with this cafe..See their plating. It looks beautiful.All baked items are in house made.. Try to see their effort..Don't encourage someone in starting point of initiative..I hope they will consider about the price range..I will definitely visit to test their dessert items❤️ Love from Bangladesh ❤️❤️

They have messed up with the interior! Initially it was looking good ! Now by adding so many stuffs it looks all messed up! “Less is more.”
Decor is pretty loud... maybe instagrammable but how much it induces appetite that remains to be seen, hope food matches the price....
Loads of hype is created around the food, expectations are sky high, hope they dont fall short.
The decor above ground level is great. The flooring is not. Should be covered up at least with premium linoleum, if the pricing is to be justified, because a lot of the price that you will pay is for the ambience. Jars, if your shoes and eyes are scraping and being scraped by dusty, worn out, unmatched mosaic. For those commenting on the high prices, these guys are definitely not aiming for the hangout crowd. Its the 3 to low 4 star hotel crowd that's being targeted - the prices are certainly not 5 star, though I've seen attempted upmarket-rustic done with less success in 5 star hotels. So live with it.
The pricing strategy is quite understandable, the Cafe is meant for niche patrons, not for the ordinary denizens, who would spend little and spend hours. The strategy of Starbucks. Revenue generated from Vlog Channel has been used there and quite an expensive fare has been rolled out, and, hence, the high pricing. The channel is meant for all and sundry and advertising too riding piggyback on it. But the Cafe is not for all, only the niche patrons will go for it. Spend as much time as you like, with adequate revenue assured model. Both are successful professionals in their respective fields, so they know and understand their positioning well. Enough publicity and hype will generate a frenzied footfall in the initial months or rather days, the initial revenue would be enough for recovering a portion of the capital, and it will take its own course with niche patrons visiting daily, and the owners laugh their way to the bank. The food fare is continental too, hence, not for the hoi polloi at least, so everything would be upmarket and niche, students can't even think of making this a permanent hangout zone, save and except the rich brats.

I think prices are ok if we compare with the market. I have seen cafés with incredibly higher prices. So, the price point is justified considering inflation and market. Price low rakhte gele ekdomi low rakhte hobe compared to other cafés like 100 rupees for 1 shake. But the taste of food is what matters. Taste r quality bhalo hole beshi price pay korteo problem nei.
@insideout : the price is too much. Insideout family includes from school goers to elderly people. It's been difficult for college goers, students to afford this price.

So for Arpi, this cafe is for Instagrammers and not for ordinary middle class ppl, it's overhyped, overrated and overpriced. Ppl who will spend so much in a cafe, will rather go to a restaurant and hv a wholesome meal. Very bad business strategy. Prices should have been low when starting the cafe and if liked by ppl then may be the price hike wd hv planned, ppl shld love the food , not the decor, ultimately decor is not edible. Also I feel decor is too loud for a cafe or eatery, bcz ppl can't concentrate more on the food with such loud decor

The Cafe is really beautiful specially the exterior looks great and welcoming . If you are focusing on the food there's a lot to be changed in the menu and the plating.

At first when I saw the garnishing and the decoration of the food I thought it was well impressive and good but the moment I saw the price my head was blasting as for a newly opened cafe the rate is divastating and a far older cafe which is more popular than yours could also not as the price being charged like yours but the way Shehbaz Sir appreciate them , according to my thought that's not a good act. Prices are pretty much on the upper side... To mantain a good rolling of free cash they should have kept the prices on the lower side... Anyways prices are subjective as well. Bt if i keep the pricepoint in my mind I would rather think 10 times before visiting the place...
Every cafe in Sector 5 with good ambience or around has a price range similar to what they have kept. I can understand the emotion of Inside out family but this is what their source of income will be now onwards and we have to understand this keeping our emotions away

The word overpriced and expensive is something that varies from people to people. One may find a 500 rupee Pasta expensive and the other may not. Majority of the good cafes these days charge nearly the same for food. Also comparing a restaurant and cafe is absolutely vague. Cafes are meant to be posh and aesthetic. People go there for the vibe and ambience and it is also extremely important these days. If the food quality is good I don't mind spending money. Also they never said the place will be cheap. It looks and feels posh and outstanding and I think it's absolutely worth it.
Even for office goers this place will be a one time visit unless and until they are earning 2 digit lakhs LPA. 😀 But lovely cafe and I really want to try the shakes.

Price is absolutely justified. A posh cafe in a posh location with such spread would not be pocket friendly to be honest. Pocket friendly budget er food streets e pawa Jai,chotto cafe gulo te pawa Jai but erokom ambience e pawa jaina. Pretty justified. And moreover there are thousands of cafés and restaurants which are damn expensive toh it’s not a big deal😊 Amar basically Ravioli and prawns konotai expensive lageni. Decor is decent not too great not too dump. The Cafe decor is being copied from various other cafes all around kolkata , so according to the decor i will give my thumps down.
Now , coming to food quality and range price is too high ( for such quantity ) so am not here to invest my 1000 bucks for such .

So If You really want that Everyone visits the place ....Let make it affordable as well. As You are largely banking on Your Fan-Base to make the Cafe a Success.....So take a step forward to make them comfortable without having to spend a lot and enjoy the food and ambience as well.
