    Awesome! Love seeing more Karma.
    Also would be cool to see an updated reel of work you've done over the last few years! Curious to see which sequences of these big movies / shows you did.

      Yes, actually it is in my To Do list,
      I would like to update my own Demo Reel with my recent projects which I was involved 🌺

    I haven't watched it yet, but thank you for providing this tutorial, for beginners. It's quite hard to find good material on what seems to me a complicated first (tho I know for certain this is what it seems to me and not what it is).

    Is pyro more preferred than axiom solver?

  • @skadbone
    @skadbone ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, great stuff dude, question, if I may, at about 5:14, "slow down" node, attributes, you are typing a star , space, and v, what is that shape in between looks like a small, upper case A, also, is the "V" lower or upper case. Thank you in advance, CZ

  • @lasaosa

    Hi! First of all great tutorial! I do have a question, why do you use microsolvers to change the disturbance and turbulence of the sim instead of using the built in parameters? Is there any difference? Thank you!

    • @sadjadrabiee
      @sadjadrabiee  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello
      The benefit is you can mix different layers of disturbance and turbulence with different scales and amounts,
      If you can achieve your desired look with just 1 layer, then those Built-in parameters are enough,
      Of course, it was possible for me to do that in my project too, but I thought it is also good to show you how we can have more layers of those parameters inside the pyro solver!

    Homie must have a super computer cuz I ran out of ram at frame 80. This simulation makes the voxels inscrease exponentioally. Beware potatoe users.

    Hi thank you for the tutorial can you tell me how do you determine the scale of the scene? this flamethrower is few meters big which is way bigger than real-life flamethrower does it affect the pyro simulation and if so what is the best scale for pyro simulations?

    • @sadjadrabiee
      @sadjadrabiee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello
      The best thing to do is to find some references, without reference it will be hard to find the right scale,
      And yes, scale is affecting simulation, beside of scale you can also play with simulation’s parameters to match your pyro with the reference
      Regarding flamethrower, we have done which throws fire more than 20 meters away!
      I’ve found some references on TH-cam when I was working on this project, here are 2 of them :
      th-cam.com/video/aPQYK5ZMbWY/w-d-xo.html
      th-cam.com/video/nuIVE7rh8zs/w-d-xo.html

    • @kapilthakur8800
      @kapilthakur8800 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sadjadrabiee in this references if we consider human as 2 meter (6.5 ft )the flames are roughly upto 6-8 meters (3-4 times human height) so why did you select 20 meters for simulation? that was my main question.

    • @sadjadrabiee
      @sadjadrabiee  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kapilthakur8800 oh ok, I see
      There is no reason for that 😅 maybe that’s because of scale of that gun asset, so I kept going to work with that scale !!
      But yes, usually I’m working in the same scale or i’m gonna scale everything down to 0.1 if it will be a super huge simulation

    • @TroubleShotVFX
      @TroubleShotVFX ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sadjadrabiee Oh don't mind me. Your tutorial was fantastic.. Its more of me being the problem. I'm about a year into learning Houdini and It hasn't gotten any easier. I keep waiting for it to click but it just wont. I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone makes anything in this software. At around the 7 minute mark the tutorial does what all Houdini tutorial do. It goes absolutely crazy with the prepping of assets for proper use because Houdini keeps every individual element of is process sperate and in truly weird places with little to know automation of consolidation elements. There are so many steps to making any single thing in Houdini I find it nearly impossible to troubleshoot anything. When a problem arises (which is always) I couldn't have the slightest idea of where or how things went wrong. And on top of that I'm dyslexic. So coding is absolutely brutal for me. And it seems that Houdini is basically incapable of making anything of substance without a large amount of vex. But again. These are all my problems. Your tutorials are great and I'll keep tuning in regardless of the struggle.

      @sadjadrabiee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the reply
      Yes, I agreed with you,
      Your concern was the concern of many other Houdini Artists including me!
      the learning path of the Houdini is more like a Mountain, At the beginning it is super hard because you are not familiar with its workflow and nodes, But when you arrive at the peak, it will be much easier for you, you could understand the language of the Houdini Which helps you to understand the complex setups of other artists or super advanced tutorials.
      It happened to me!
      I also agreed with you about doing everything with VEX is inescapable, But that does not mean for doing everything we need to write a complex VEX code in too many lines!
      If you be familiar with most of the nodes and also improving the Houdini part of your brain ( ), you can use VEX as a less as possible,
      and That's what I'm trying to do in my tutorials, I want to show how we can make a complex effect or simulation in the simplest way,🌸🌺

I got this tutorial completed and it led to some of the best looking fire I've made. It may be a small step but you sure helped me get there.
