You should get a hell of a lot more thumbs up for that if anybody knows what it's like to haul a truck state-to-state across the freaking United States and back it's frustrating my aunt longtime love since they were 13 and they're 52 that's what he does he's a long-haul trucker
I worked for the railway on the track crews. Used to be gone for 8 days, home for 6 with about 7 hours of driving in between. Every time I had to leave my girlfriend behind and head back to work, I used to play this song as I was driving out. Brought tears to my eye every time. So yeah. You aren't alone
The first time I heard this I was 9 years old. My dad said it was my mom and his song because the song literally explained their love. My mom was a young waitress, and my dad was a truck driver. They fell in love right after school and got married. Mom got pregnant, and dad had to go drive. I'm 14 now and my dad is dead, a collision with a tractor trailer, and my mom was torn to pieces. The lyrics in this song are so similar to my parents love it's scary sometimes. Everlast is amazing.
It was a coincidence that he was killed in a tractor trailer accident. He told me when I was younger that this was his and my mother's song because it perfectly described their love. Then he died.
I'm sorry about your dad. It's amazing how love work's, I'm sure your mom loved him very much. If you don't mind me asking, what year did he die? I'm 14 also and my mom left my family and I; due to drugs and alcohol when I was 12. I know how it feels to lose a parent too, your not alone. Stay positive and have hope, that's what's been keeping my head up.
This is exactly how my daddy died in 2008. He was otr for years. Gone all the time. He was also a very talented musician. So now Everytime I see this video it makes me think of my parents. The love they had at one time. Now they're both together in heaven. He came home to you mom.

Eric your still one of my favorite musicians I'll be playing your songs live on new years brother just my acoustic and harmonica
The director and producer of this video are genius. As we peer into these peoples lives the reality is so real. I feel all their feelings.
