    a little bonus: It's ok to not have Burgundy as PU as long as they have chosen the Emperor (Austria) as their senior partner. In this case, if France rival both you and Austria, and you ally and royal marriage to Austria, you would get a Spanish Hasburg event that gives you the entire Low Countries for free (after the Duchess of Burgundy died event fires). Emperor would always want the entire Low Countries, so you don't have to fight the emperor to keep the Low Countries in this csae.

    12:39 thats not the optimal way to do the event chain.
    Its sweaty af but what i do is you take the +1 stab in "fate of..." event, then wait for the torquemada event to fire without coring the provinces, take the +1 stab there as well. then you release grenada and force convert them to christian for the mission. Yes theyll be a bit disloyal but you can just dev them a bit and its gonna be fine when it comes to integrate them.
    Its defo worth it as this way you get +2 stab and the age of reformation goal while making it impossible for the war of the arpujarras to fire (thats the negative event that gives you -2 stab if you force convert the provinces even tho you "said" you wouldnt(The event cant fire if grenada exists))

Had one to support the clergy or the philosopher, both decisions leading to minus 1 stab. I quit at -200 diplo and -3 stab, with zero rebels and zero territory because it was impossible to end the war with the constant negative events being thrown at me constantly. It has happened twice now, i have no idea what to do about it except restart and try again and hope for better RNG. Is this just something that happens with bad RNG? It is so extremely frustrating!

The way I go about it, by 1500 I can have Portugal, Castile, Naples, France, Burgundy, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and often times Byzantium, Brandenburg, the Palatinite, Brunswick, Georgia, Cyprus and Scottland as PUs. It's insane how easy they can get PUs thanks to their neutral position, unsuspecting nature and the fact that they start as a great power.

    Is there any way to help Austria to get Bohemia in a PU? If Hungary doesn't become a junior partner willingly then Austria will get a casus belli and you can help them win the war but I wonder if there's anything similar to Bohemia. You also left out that it's possible for Spain to also get England in a PU, or at least it was in a previous patch.

    Thank you for the video! That austrian pu mission is very Strong and i wonder if it can be exploited even more then getting Austria, Bohemia, Hungary and maybe Burgundy?🙈
    It is very RNG influence but if you go for a HRE Castile you can feed Landshut for example the Bavarians provinces hoping they form it and Austria PUs them after. Then if you are a balkans căștile i wonder if you can declare war on Poland and feed Austria the provinces required for their PU mission on Poland. I think the AI îs hardcoded to declare PU wars if they have the CB. 🤔

    no cb on byzantium after the infantes desaster... the stab hit doesnt matter cause the infantes mission gives you very cheap stability. of course if you just wanna focus on western mediterranean or colonial it doesnt matter, but if you fo for full mediterranean domination this will help you so much... the 1.35.2 hotfix made kebab a lot more stable and you really want to hurt them early because between tech 5 and 20 you can beat ottos only if you massively outnumber them

    Ottomans really needed an Update. But did Castile, Muscovy/Russia and France needed is as much? I dont think so.
    With that the game shifts heavily into completely prefering certain majors and you get pushed into tag switching to them with minors even more...
    Anyways. Love how they still put so much effort into EU4. Because of that its better than ever, especially after the hard times it had with DDRJake as main dev.

    Can you make or remake an Ottoman guide for Domination ? Thanks you really like your videos mate !

  • @viperswhip
    @viperswhip ปีที่แล้ว

    So, this is a beginners guide I guess, because if you build the Carracks to beat England at sea, then you can beat the Otto fleet, particularly if they have fought Venice already, and once you do that, you can easily kill them, with Aragon, and Naples and Portugal, yes, you definitely can, and you should. These are the countries you have to beat down early a couple of times to enjoy the late game and not have to worry about coalitions, France, England, Ottomans, Muscovy. Getting to France and England is easy, the Ottomans, easy if they ally Granada, Tunis or Morocco. Muscovy is tricky, you should watch to see if Novgorod gets to less than 100% to vassalize, and no CB them. Also, keep your relations up with Poland, you can PU them later as well if you fight the rebels that spawn in their country to stop them becoming a monarchy and have your heir on the throne.

    Now there is a new privilege for the clergy that gives you -50% native chance of uprising and plus 50% assimilation so is like giving the middle native policy twice. Then when you have completed both exploration and expansion you can switch to the plus 20 settler keeping the -100% chance of uprising. The new colonization meta😅

    • @afridge8608
      @afridge8608 ปีที่แล้ว

      The super extra colonize strat is expansion and maritime. You get explorer from the burgher privilege. Also native uprising chance is actually very overrated. Always pick aggressive colonizing and just keep 2k troops on the province. If its less than 8k natives you can get away with 1k. Just build 1-2 cogs and 1-2 units per colonist and thats pretty much the same as 0 uprising chance:0. Maritime is there btw for free manpower through marines. Especially good for castille because they get 25% marine force limit through naval doctrine. Through this you will colonize faster and have stronger navy and army but you wont be able to explore open seas but you can still request maps from portugal for that. Or steal maps if they are a subject
