Honestly the biggest issue with the day of revelation bundle is how easy it’d have been to fix: -take out the speeder -take out the destructors -take out the Moritat -add the praetor -add that kit that had 2 apothecaries -add 3 jump packs -prize it accordingly Et voila! It’d have been the bare bones essential for a day of revelation army, and the perfect starting point for anyone that wants to make that kind of army simply because it’s literally got all you need for the requirements and the apothecaries which are something you WILL add to your army if you’re playing with that rite. Didn’t even need to create new minis or think about balancing a good starting army, just in the description make it obvious that it’s meant to be combined with your preferred source of support (dreadnought, speeder, destructors, etc) to be a full army and that’s it everyone would’ve gotten the memmo and been happy about it. Just come on Forgeworld it only takes a minute of thought.
I can’t see why the Crimson Paladins couldn’t be Tartarus armour with 4++ saves. Furthermore, despite their nice shields, they only have a single wound, so they’re not too difficult to destroy. My vanilla Imperial Fists terminators with storm shields and fists are on par with them, while being cheaper to boot.
Can we appreciate how cool looking is the WS praetor with the helment on ? Oh god, I just love what FW has done with the WT. I will whait for GoldenK tho, even if they are bad, I whant to run a Chogoris Brotherhood with them.
Thanks for the follow up video incorporating all the new rules and units. I think it's a real shame that the cyber hawk only works with infantry now instead of synergizing with all units that have Legiones Astartes. I think the idea behind the falcon's claws could've been tweaked a bit better to just be a somewhat resilient, cheap troops choice that could provide a cyber hawk as a support function in addition to scoring. The lightning claws are just strange, and the rewording of the cyber hawk rules sort of kills that potential.
How do you figure outriders are bad when you can scatter power weapons in, unlike jet bikes, and use it to ferry your praetor up the field and have an assault punch. The lists that were tearing up were primarily outrider focussed so I find this point a bit I’ll thought out
I got a Question in this one: im not that stuffed with money because of health reasons and mostly i played 40k, but allthat Primaris shit drove me off there. So mostly i needed to Kitbash my Horus Heresy army... I got some sanguinary guard from a sale so i got these jump packs as spares and i got some MKIV Armor but sadly not enought helmets (so i tried to convert one Helmet a bit ) Are these ok in that way? they arent forgeworld but MKKV(-one helmet) and Old Jump packs?
I still think using the destroyer squad as a Preator/Deligatus command squad is a good way to put the bundle to use. I still think the price should be discounted in some way. But just with quick list building, could easily do a 1200+ list with the Day of Revelation bundle/RoW. Obviously though that's using a LOT of bits, but sanguinary guard bits aren't the hardest to find. The white scars bundle did make me laugh when looking at it.
Would u be willing to do a brake down of all the special character in the game as I just got book 6 and found there was characters I did not know where in the game
harlaquin666 As an Imperial Fists player, I would recommend Alexis Polux; he’s reasonably good at fighting both characters and vehicles, whilst giving quite good buffs to his army.
I can see that I have iron warriors but I don’t know why I ever want any of the 3 characters over a prator or a praecian in narik dreygur case and was wondering what I was missing
The Praetor terminator armour type not matching the squad armour type isn't as big an issue with White Scars because characters can't join the Ebon Keshig (at least none of them can yet, since none of them have the Kharash special rule).
I think the Contemptor is perfectly fine. 10 Shots Assaultcannon and a Powerfist is fine, you keep youself the option open to get in CC if you need to and only loose 2 Assaultcannon shots.
I'm thinking about doing a 30k puppy army, very heavy on grey slayers! Waves and waves of dudes running up the board! I know iron armour is normally used for them but I think they would be a legion where they are totally miss matched. I have a bunch of 40k puppy armour and I was looking at them and apart from the heads they don't seem to be screaming 40k. In your opinion what would I need to do (conversion wise) to turn those stylised 40k models into 30k models? Apart from the obvious head swap. (Also if you played someone running grey slayers converted out of 40k models would you mind?) Thanks.

Context: a friend of mine has decided to try 30k after a long hiatus from warhammer and decided to go for thousand sons. And I was trying to help him. ‘Cause I might be a jaded fuck but I still want him to have fun. Thing is... I never actually got one of those. So my first tip was “just get a second claw and asphyx” ‘cause rule of thumb is either full dakka or full melee BUT he informed me that apparently there’s no rules for Osirion’s to get asphyx, at all, even tho their first Bolter has it by default, and so he refused to give the dread any weapon that would usually use asphyx because he thought that was, well, retarded. So I have no idea what to tell him, ‘cause I hadn’t realized that was a thing and I agree, it’s a ludicrous oversight. (I’d probably just use the claw and “role play” in-lore he has asphyx even if mechanically it’s stupid but my friend is stricter apparently.)
Apparently it's not completely unheard of for White Scars to use Dreads but given their supposed rarity it's an odd decision (lore-wise) for Forge World to make a White Scars specific model don't you think? The indiscriminate milking of fan wallets continues!

If I remember correctly, ebon keshig can swap to cataphractii armor. So the terminator armor mismatch isn't so bad (assuming I'm correct).
