Apple White and Raven Queen Swapped at Birth Theory | Remastered Edition 2023

- This video has really been a long time coming. It has been a year since my previous videos about this theory gained popularity on TH-cam and TikTok. Since then, I have found much more evidence for this theory and crafted a more solid theory than the one I shared in the first video. If you guys enjoyed watching the original theory you should be just as excited to watch this revised version of the theory! Thank you all for your support!
This video is new, and I rebuilt the theory from the ground up. Since creating the original theory I have reread some of the Ever After High books, so in this video, I used solid evidence from those books along with evidence from the show!
I also know that there will be comments about how this theory goes against the message of Ever After High. I do not think that this theory defeats the message of being able to choose your own destiny. People can still choose to go against their destiny even if they have predispositions and many of the rebels still act like their parents. I plan on making a follow up video covering how I think the Swapped at Birth Theory would play into Apple and Raven's character arcs. So stay tuned for that!

I like this theory, also The Evil Queen is supposed to see herself as "the fairest of them all" and Apple sees herself as that more than Raven does
AND ALSO RAVEN AND DEXTER ARE DATING WHICH SHOWS HER NATURAL WANT TO FULFILL HER DESTINY
and the fact that he's a charming makes it even better
I was just gonna comment that. Depending on who assumes the snow white role on the end i think the prince/princess changes.
Darling and Dexter are twins too!
I think them being twins fits that part too, being twins connects them and they're the two branches of Charming.
The twins are slightly older than both Raven and Apple and i think that's because of some magical foresight that ensures there's someone to marry the person who assumes Snow Whites role.
I always found it weird when in the episode 'True Reflections,' Apple sung to her mirror and asked it 'Mirror Mirror, so smart and cool, who's the fairest at this school?" That just gave me evil queen vibes, since in the actual story, the evil queen is the one asking the mirror who is the fairest in the land.
You mean to tell me that the evil queen is Ravens adopted mother…

After all this imagine Apple became jealous of Raven after finding out they were switched at birth and ends up becoming the villain 🦹♀️
I mean we all saw what Apple did she set the evil queen free “We’re more a like then you think.” She would have done anything for her destiny. I think the evil queen’s final revenge against snow was taking her daughter and that’s why she loves Raven so much…
So it would be like with Sophie in the first book of School for Good and Evil

20:05 I also think it's insteresting how Raven and the witch are on a tree even though the witch is supposed to poison her in/around the house of the 7 dwarves. I think this could mean that Raven was fighting against the witch strongly. Apple wasn't able to fight against getting her finger pierced by a needle but Raven kept fighting against it. This could also be a reference to how Raven fights against the destiny that's given to her while Apple accepts it.
I love this theory, It would make a lot of sense by their personality, Especially Apple's, Not only that but Raven didn't accept her destiny probably because she didn't wanted to be like the Evil Queen. And you're right that she looks more like Snow White because of their hair color. (To tell you the truth I haven't watch that show in a while)
Actually raven can summon animals with her voice just like apple but the animals are like bats and i don't remamber what elese probably ravens
i love this theory, but i think it would fumble the overall message of the series about free will and making your own story....
i think it would be really cool if Apple BECAME the evil queen and Raven the snow white.
at ten minutes i started uncontrollably laugh when i imagined Raven commenting on EQ's "gray" hair when she's like with no dye at all

I really liked the video the theory makes a lot of sense but please explain one thing to me. In Dragon Games the Evil queens plan is to make her daughter Raven more like her but when Raven rebels after finding this out the Evil Queen seems generally hurt and causes a lot of chaos, only calming down when Raven decides to join her to take her mother far away. It generally seems like the Evil Queen loves Raven. Even at the end of Dragon Games when Raven is talking to her mother it seems like genuine love. If the evil queen intentionally switched Apple and Raven at birth why does it seem like she cares for Raven a lot
I saw someone explain the evil queens 'love' for raven being that she was basically the last jab the the queen could get at snow- taking her actual daughter and making her evil
It may be that the Evil Queen did stuff that can spite Snow White and may also try to prove a point. However, I believe that the Evil Queen can also grow a certain form of attachment to Raven. She still raised Raven
It could have been about a revenge at first and then she actually grew to live raven over time. Her and Raven also while haveing a strained relationship still holds some kind of love for each other when we see them talk through the mirror
Wouldnt it been funny if they somehow all agreed to do what they want (destiny) but then they find out about the switch and everything starts again XD

I always thought that with the swapped at birth theory to work Raven and Apple were originally supposed to have the destinies they have in the show Raven becoming the Evil Queen and Apple being Snow White. Since the Evil Queen is the step mother. When the Evil Queen swapped the girls it swapped their mentality. Raven having grown up with an Evil mother like Snow White did she was in essence Snow but Apple growing up with Snow with all the expectations being placed on her would crack and become Evil. We don’t know much about the Evil Queens background so we have to assume things. But we know Snow grew up with the Evil Queen as her step mother (at least if you look at the Grimms story). Had Raven grown up with her birth mom Snow White then she would have had the pressure on her eventually cracking and Apple would be the one trying to be good like her dad the Good King(Ravens dad according to the books). I don’t know if this made sense I've never really put it to words before it’s kinda just been in my head. (Also I think the Evil Queen swapped them to try and expand Evil. She also does care more about Raven because thats whos supposed to actually follow in her footsteps.) theres more but this is already long and idk if it even makes sense haha.
A thought I had is that Raven is naturally good but her powers repell against any type of "good magic". If Apple and Raven had their destinies (and powers) swapped, it would make sense that Raven's magic would actively discourage any type of good deed to push her towards being evil
What if her magic had potential for good as a child but the evil queen cursed her in her sleep to force her towards evil
Omg I love your theories! The hair situation has always stumped me for this tho. As a kid I always thought raven's purple hair was like kind of like a Repunzel situation where basically the residue from the magic apple causes Snow's daughter to have similar powers. I love this idea that the evil queen swapped it before everything.
I think I commented that I agree with you in your other video, that evil Queen swapped the destinies when she swapped the books. The fake one showing Apple as Snow White, when the Real one could have shown Raven is the true Snow White. Sadly, we were never shown what the real storybook contains. I'm all for the swapped at birth thing too. As well as your many other compelling arguments, the hair colour, Apple's personality, her talking mirror, that whole apple thing scheme she has. As for Raven's magic thing, I think the stone around her neck could actually be the source and she doesn't have magic herself, while Apple either doesn't know she could have dormant magic, or she didn't inherit the magic gene.

Or is it? I mean blonde hair is a recessive gene. For generations, all of the Snow Whites had black hair so it's less likely that one has blonde hair. Blonde can easily be dominated by black, which can also explain why all for the Snow Whites had black hair. Well, it could just be the weird genetic coding though
Tons of Snow Whites probably had fathers with blond hair. If that was the case, people wouldn't have made such a big deal about it. People *would* make a big deal about it due to the Evil Queen having the same hair color
Genetically speaking, apple should still have ebony black hair, not to mention that EVERYONE is surprised that she has blonde hair. If the magic in the universe is strong enough to make the children follow their parents legacy than it should've been strong enough to make apple's hair black. Maaaaaaybe apples dad and evil queen got down 1 night 👀 (joking but maybe)
@@im_genuinely_confused It still applies if it's using reality's logic, since blonde hair is a ressecive gene. Technically, the Evil Queen is the Snow White's stepmom... If this whole thing kinda applies, it means that Raven's mom is with Apple's grandfather (since it's Snow White's father). The grandfather would obviously have blonde hair (if following the genetic logic from our world; meaning that both of Apple's paternal grandparents are blonde). As a result, Raven's mom would have a blonde haired child because both the father and the mother are supposed to be blonde, but on the contrary, Raven has black hair while Apple has blonde hair

There is one thing that I think was forgotten about the kiss in which suppose to wake apple from enchanted sleep that she got from daring didn’t help wake her.

I know this video is kinda old now but I just thought about something that I think you didn't talked about. In Spring Unsprung, when everyone reads the riddle book and their eyes turn purple etc., I always thought that the book will make them do the opposite of what their true behaviour, like the personnality they're supposed to have as adults when they signed the book, so why is Apple turning evil?

I know little to nothing about ever after high, but I’m invested in this theory
I may follow to see how your doll idea goes as someone who loves ever after high it inspired me to create my own version however my idea is that it plays more into the dark tone similar to the original version of the fairy tales

I had this idea when I was younger but mine was kinda stupid and if was because 1 raven had black hair like snow white 2 raven was nicer than snow and dexter charming and raven were dating
