It's truly heart-warming to see so many RR zealots (like me) fr around the world! I watch these videos to calm me... it's like self-induced therapy while living in this crazy matrix of a world!😊
WHY? WHY DO we like it so much? IDK, but yeah... I usually have Ashland and/or LaGrange on a 2nd TV when I'm not watching it, and try not to miss any grab bag videos. I don't know why, but I do too
There is a lot of great train action in this video from several states especially from my state of Oklahoma and even from BC, Canada have a wonderful week everyone thanks.🇺🇲🇨🇦🚂🚃🚃🚂🇨🇦🇺🇲
I would say that the wrapped engines may all be for Australia. The two on the flatcars look like new GT46CU-ACe narrow gauge loco's and the last 8 look to be the last 6 QE Class loco's for Qube(QE007 - QE012) and the first 2 for the new Manildra Mills order for 17 MAN class GT46c-ACe Gen II Loco's.
I was starting to suspect that they were Australian models. They had that hybrid shape to them, a cross between American and European designs with the narrow long hoods and noses flush with the cab, respectively. Surprised they're being exported from Newport News, but I don't think there's any appropriate terminals on the West Coast.
Not sure about the narrow gauge ones. Not aware of any orders for those. CBH WA has an order for 7 GT46-ACe standard gauge locos, however they also operate on the narrow gauge in Western Australia. The order may have been varied.
I always wonder how some of these engines end up so far from home...Enjoyed the KCS de Mexico, the bicyclists, and the little orange doodah in Chehalis, and the bucket boat; I'd never seen one before. Thanks for another great one!
Sure glad them Scouts did their good deed for the day …….. sittin on my couch healing; I take it a bit personal and am glad someone takes time out to wave at this old man 👍❤️🙏😃
I'm not sure, but the outlines of the roofs of some of them remind me of SD-70ACe types, maybe T4 types from the shape of the radiator fans. The cab ends ... you've got me.
0:08 CSX 1853, this trains honks in Ashland 0:53 Ricjardson TP90! 😎 train i used to live a hour from pdc wi and I'd go up there and check out locos now I'm in Madison and walk up the road and check out the rail yard. But only issue here is if you're walking around you might get stopped by one going to gas station or library sometimes they go half way through then back up but usually don't have to many cars on them
1:12 on July 14th 2024 some things got called off Norfolk Southern workers are NS 1065 Savannah & Atlanta go back to the Juanita Shops Altoona repainted!!!
My wife and I moved to Burlington Iowa a few months ago from Toledo, Washington. I delivered mail for 13 years in Winlock. It was a logistical nightmare for us every year. But, ya, I saw the bikes in the Chehalis grabs and knew right away!
At 6:19, those are power transformers, that come even larger with cars split totally to transport them. If not power transformers the equivalent. Does anyone know the manufacturing plant? Is it ABB that used to be Westinghouse located in Virginia, far west, as I recall it was South Boston, Virginia. Has nothing to do with Boston, or is it General Electric in Shreveport, LA. Or is it imported via Ship to USA and moved by rail. All the plated ports on the side are likely the cooling radiators And associated pumps for oil circulation. If anyone knows, it’s been 10 yrs past for me, it might be interesting to some who I am and what we purchased from General Electric Shreveport, LA, ABB South Boston, VA, and ABB Bland, Virginia. Both ABB plants were Westinghouse then acquired by ABB. I didn’t cover these large units, but 350 million dollars, every three years, from these plants. All American. Much smaller units, but trucked from the factories mentioned. Much of the GE plant moved to Monterey, but we refused to purchase our units, only if they stayed in Shreveport, for reasons unrelated to cost, we paid more, there were 450 workers at the plant, half of the business moved, not our network underground transformers and the workers and the plant stayed, very specialized, trucked all the way. But that was 10 yrs ago or so. Others (USA utility companies) purchased too, but we had 90% of their production remaining. The units on the rail cars were others in my company engineering wise, but could be ABB South Boston VA. The ABB plant made much larger units even larger than those on the rail cars. From Purchase Order to ABB, to rail car could be well over a year. To build and deliver. Remember, ABB plants was Westinghouse. ABB is an international Company. ???
Don’t come knockin’
If this van’s rockin’

@@stephenodwyer1123 The CBH GT46C-ACes aren't due until 2025, and their Cape Gauge locos are coming from Wabtec (G.E.), not Progress Rail (E.M.D.).
I agree; the last six QEs (QE007-QE012) and first MANs (MAN001 & MAN002), judging by the Cowcatches.
The two GT46CU-ACes are headed for Bowen Rail
Excellent catching all the trains, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and have a nice day.
Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy

Awesome grab bag with my tankers, my favorite
I always click on the Grab Bag with a little whoop of glee....
Those white wrapped engines reminds me a little bit in it's shape to some locos from Australia.
I'm not sure, but the outlines of the roofs of some of them remind me of SD-70ACe types, maybe T4 types from the shape of the radiator fans. The cab ends ... you've got me.
Loved VRF Thanks ❤
Sweet catch of the ballast machine at 22:40. I didn’t know there were any of those outside of Europe/the UK.
Nice Richardson switcher.
I have to agree
Am I the only one that waves back to my phone when someone in the video is waving.

Window of opportunity with the BNSF geometry train was a nice surprise.
you should put the next cam for virtual railfan in norman oklahoma for the next live
EMD Rebuilt SD70 Units ?
When I was a kid, the "SAFTY FIRST" signs had lanterns (for nighttime) with blue glass in them.
4:46 I saw that exact same train in Bay Minette,AL that Previous day except there was not a Transformer on there
We used to call those vans "baby-makers"!!!
1:12 on July 14th 2024 some things got called off Norfolk Southern workers are NS 1065 Savannah & Atlanta go back to the Juanita Shops Altoona repainted!!!
The first two locos with blue tarp perhaps are going to Indonesia or Tasmania.
Nice to my MTH number 1065 in real life.
7:17 STP riders (Seattle to Portland).
12:54 Another group.
STP is a 200+ mile bicycle ride from Seattle to Portland.
Wow. Just...wow. They have my admiration and respect!

The white wrapped locomotives look like they are part of an order for Australian operators Qube and CBH group.
10:22 GT38ACs perhaps?
La Plata PTZ is in wrong location.
10:23 the locos are some Australian GT46ace's
18:25 What is the blue flashing light??
sooo is the wrapping to keep graffiti off the new Engines ?
Action pack grab bag from VR
SD70ACEe fresh from final assembly in Mexico though beyond that......
Why emphasis on the changing lights?
Just out of curiosity, why would a DPU need water?
Cooling
Thurst come to mind in heat where evaporation can take place

Ten engines train
This guess to what only the Wrap Train
no spaces before a comma (in the title) PS- the operator at 13:00 needs to be suspended for a week for such noobness
What does DPU mean, again? I know what those are but not the acronym.
Disbuted power unit
Chehalis operator needs to quit .
