They should've included My Happy Ending, that song was huge to people of the 00s. Also, comparing "Head Above Water" to songs like "I'm with You" or "When You're Gone", you can hear that Avrils sound hasn't really changed that much at all. She's always been writing these kinda ballads.

I was born in the year that Avril became famous, back in 2002. Didnt had the influence to listen to her songs by family or friends because im Brazilian and its much distant from my day life. I randomly started to listen to her music when i was 14y in 2016. That time her last album was the Avril Lavigne (2013) and i had to wait more 3 years for the new album, first after her comeback and after i became a fan. Is incredible how even after so many time from 2002 to 2022, 7 albuns latter, i still love each and every one of them hahah (I was looking at my Spotify and omg i have more then 90 Avrils songs😆)

I was born in '95 and Avril Lavigne, to this day, is my role model and absolute favourite artist of all time. First song I heard I was 7 years old in the car, on my way to school listening to the radio playing complicated. Didn't know her name but loved the song and knew every word, came age 9 I had 2 of her albums, let go and under my skin. I have a book with pics and lyrics and articles about her. Love her forever!

And I grew up listening to her songs from CDs and Cassettes thru our VCD player. I'm 20 now, born in 2000, but both my generation and before knows her. What's so special about that? Simple. THERE WAS NO TH-cam BACK THEN! And when youtibe finally came ot was not until 2009 that it started to become a thing but AVRIL FREAKIN' LAVIGNE was already an ICON.
