Them not talking to you once you max out their Affinity is actually awful. Like, I get that there can only be so many conversations, but not being able to have any of the ones you missed or just any at all (hell, I was fully expecting feels more like a punishment than a reward. Oh you're best friends, thats why they compeltely ghost your ass and never talk to you again. Feels bad man.

Being unable to play this little pseudo-social puzzle minigame for lore and character appeasement because you maxed it out punishes people who liked it for being too good at it, which is generally not advisable game design.

I'm more peeved that ranking up the relationship status will lock you out of certain conversations from previous ranks. I haven't seen half the conversations people have shared because I'm at 'Close' with all of the Hex members and the ones I missed are from previous ranks. At the very least, they should let us do all the ones at the 'Trusted' rank.
I don't understand the criticism; the dating sim is completely optional and doesn't force anyone to engage with it. If the characters provided buffs, it would make the system feel mandatory, forcing players to choose characters based on buffs rather than personal preference. In my opinion, it would be great if we could take these characters on missions, using a system similar to the one in Holvania missions. Maybe in the future, they could expand the interactions further, like allowing us to take them on dates or explore other activities.

My dating Eleanor is bugged. I started dating her, but she didn't go to my backroom. Then the next day reset, my chemistry rank with her dropped down to friendly and she still wasn't in my backroom. A few days later, after increasing my rep with her again, she said she loved me and invited me to "rampant sexual intercourse" but we ended up "best friends" chemistry rank instead of loved and she still isn't in my backroom. So, none of the dating interactions with her are happening. Several people have posted this same issue on the forums and no response from DE.
I'm just happy to hear that I don't need to engage with it more to hit rank 5. Don't get me wrong. I like what they did with it. But I'm struggling for play time here and wanting to go back and farm other things once I hit rank 5.
I think they ran out of time to get out the content they wanted. They had a lot of bug fixes in the 1999 update, and had several patches a few days later. They gave us atomicyles without any races and had to delay the Coda stuff. I'm sure they will play catch-up in the new year.

But after getting know the Hex members and reading all the lore drops when Drifter was talking to them, i changed my mind. A lot of it was bugged though. I never invited Aoi in. She just showed up. Other people said they had to invite their love intrest in. I unknowingly maxed out all of their chemisty day 1 grinding bounties and trying out what gifts gave the biggest boost. So every syndicate rank up meant they were all instantly on the next tier of friendship. I dunno how the chemistry reset works but might try it to see how it plays as intended. I hope we get more Proto Frames.
Instead of Calendar buffs, what if the Warframe itself got buffs? Like, if you're dating Aoi then your Mag gets +15% range, or Arthur gives Excalibur +15% strength, something like that. It'd not only incentivize dating more, but also incentivize using those Warframes. If not for Creators, most people wouldn't even know the Gemini Skins have unique voice lines because most people don't play those Warframes much. If last years popularity chart is still accurate, Volt and Excalibur are in the top 3, but most people right now are choosing Aoi (Best Girl), Eleanor (Freaky Girl), Quincy (New Boy), with Arthur thrown in the mix. Give us a reason to use these Warframes so we get to hear the Gemini voice lines.
There are plenty of reasons to use these warframes already…maybe not Excalibur unfortunately but still that really only applies to excal which i’m sure ppl still would rather use someone else (excal enthusiast btw)

Most people who are at 1999 are more than likely the same people going level cap or challenge runs because there's nothing else for them to do. To do 1999 you need to have done every other Main Quest, and because that requires a Railjack and Necramech, two things that take awhile to craft, you're likely MR 10 at least with a fair understanding of the game and it's mechanics, with a fair bit of gear built already. That means you also likely know what you like and don't like to use, have looked up guides for those pieces of gear, where to farm everything, and so on on TH-cam. If not for people showing off voice lines, most people wouldn't know about them since they aren't likely to use these Warframes. I like Aoi, but dislike the playstyle of Mag. See the issue? Because I'm dating a Hex I like whose a Proto of a Warframe I don't use, I'd have never known about Aoi having voice lines.

If we had Trials still, I'd say that'd be the reason, but we don't. It's a matter of what's fun for the person, and some people like to break the game.

I think the dating sim is a cute idea to giving the warframes more personality. It’s the reason why i tried mag out and made a whole loadout to fit her play style 😊 I get that they should have more for building closer relationships with them, but I’m loving the character development of personalities 🙌

Oberon -> Volt for no HP regen, Pheonix renewal and radiation dmg on your gun. i am sure there are 1000 more and better ideas
Send your feedback to DE and the forums, if people like it enough then they following the drifter as specters or potentially companions could work. This is more so a testing phase it feels like.

A dozen of possible things could be rewards for max relationship with each of these badass. For example: discounts, recurring gifts, mentioned boosted passives. From beloved: unlimited specter, global buff/boost of your choice, couple emotes and prism glyphs... But... for these holidays I'm only getting stalking energy orbs bug that drives me crazy 😵💫
Thinking about it now, I agree that the the buffs you get for choosing certain frames should be higher/increased if you are dating whatever protoframe you chose. Never thought about it until you made the video!
I think it sucks because if you mess up you can’t fix it or reset it it should be looked into because I can’t fix Elenor so I can date her at all and I’m max rank with every one

I'm actually super relieved there's no benefit to it. I cringed my way through enough 'dialogue' to get the syndicate rank up, and I'll be much happier if I never have to open that tab again. If they made it a practical benefit in any way, I'd feel obligated to get it, which would really suck. If anything, they should give slightly more syndicate points for Aoi's bounties while you're dating her. Would make it slightly more convenient to cap out every day if her bounty was one you wanted to run. But even that feels like too much of a benefit for my preference. If I'm not missing out on anything by not touching that system, I'm the most happy.
It's stupid that you save everyone and all that but they keep looping because "we need more friendship power" or something. Also drifters hand still being injured after using transference was weird.
Adding buffs for dating a protoframe would turn into a metaslaving and I think DE wanted to avoid that. Unless you would get the same buff irregardless of who you date. And even that would cause some uproar. A small tiny insignificant buff for a getting a protoframe to best friend / loved status would be nice tho. The best would be getting the ability tu summon your best friends / loved as on call crewmates, after all they say they got your back :) Ofc the lover could have special dialogues for that. They defo have room to expand upon this system in a meaningful way, hopefully this wasn't just a one off thing. Because so far it has been really good. Added something to WF I never knew we would get and never knew I would like in a game like this. Very well written and voice-acted too.

Interesting, so which frame is optimal to date in order to optimize Hex override? I mean, wish we can just straight up date all of them at the sametime, we can reset time countless time anyway, we should have all the time in the world to date everything and everyone.
How do you reset your chats/ relationships as I want to start that part over? I read online that there will be an option to do so in the new calendar year on the hex. When is this? And is it a prompt or an actual feature.
The thing about giving buffs for dating is that is sends a message that it's okay to use people for you own personal power. It's messed up on a different level to be able to just use the love system to get a weekly buff or something. I think it's fine that there are no in-game incentives for dating the Hex. The break-up dialogue is legitimately heart-breaking, but you can break up and make-up as long as you leave the mall area and reset the cool-down after you break up with them.
I think with or without the small aspect the text sim is, liches were going to be delayed as it is. Its a nice thing to have, I would have liked the whole RJ and lich thing to release in 1999 but in the end we just have to wait a bit. Kind of funny how people lose their mind over the sim existing just because other people are engaging with it.

I think it's still a bit buggy my cousin is loved by lettie and still gets daily messages other protoframes also talk about their relationship. Me on the other hand am best friends with everyone besides quincy, the last two days haven't received a daily message from him. Tuesday I had no message from lettie or quincy, lastnight had no message from quincy lettie or amir. I'm still only close with quincy, I was a dick on accident a few times maybe he's tired of it lol
I think each frame only has like 15-16 total convos (if the “year” is a month, that’s every other day). So if you mess those up, you have to wait until monthly reset.

Not including the happy bday message for amir and lettie. I personally think it's just bugged for me because my cousin is still getting daily messages and everyone for him is at the best friends stage. I have a friend who also still gets daily messages even though he's only at the close stage with everyone. It's nbd honestly just thought it was a little weird I stopped getting messages, reset is soon I'll see if it persists

if I remember correctly the devs said on one of their streams that you'll be able to reset and redo so you can get the ending you want
On January 12th you will be able to reset your relathionship status and messages with the hex members. So no worries.
You get a monthly "yearly" reset option, which seems likely to function via choosing not to bring their memories back in the loop.

I'm actually super relieved there's no benefit to it. I cringed my way through enough 'dialogue' to get the syndicate rank up, and I'll be much happier if I never have to open that tab again. If they made it a practical benefit in any way, I'd feel obligated to get it, which would really suck. If anything, they should give slightly more syndicate points for Aoi's bounties while you're dating her. Would make it slightly more convenient to cap out every day if her bounty was one you wanted to run. But even that feels like too much of a benefit for my preference. If I'm not missing out on anything by not touching that system, I'm the most happy.

Adding buffs for dating a protoframe would turn into a metaslaving and I think DE wanted to avoid that. Unless you would get the same buff irregardless of who you date. And even that would cause some uproar. A small tiny insignificant buff for a getting a protoframe to best friend / loved status would be nice tho. The best would be getting the ability tu summon your best friends / loved as on call crewmates, after all they say they got your back :) Ofc the lover could have special dialogues for that.
They defo have room to expand upon this system in a meaningful way, hopefully this wasn't just a one off thing. Because so far it has been really good. Added something to WF I never knew we would get and never knew I would like in a game like this. Very well written and voice-acted too.

The thing about giving buffs for dating is that is sends a message that it's okay to use people for you own personal power. It's messed up on a different level to be able to just use the love system to get a weekly buff or something. I think it's fine that there are no in-game incentives for dating the Hex.
The break-up dialogue is legitimately heart-breaking, but you can break up and make-up as long as you leave the mall area and reset the cool-down after you break up with them.
I found lots of the dating conversations to be uber cringe reddit tier dialog.

I think it's still a bit buggy my cousin is loved by lettie and still gets daily messages other protoframes also talk about their relationship. Me on the other hand am best friends with everyone besides quincy, the last two days haven't received a daily message from him. Tuesday I had no message from lettie or quincy, lastnight had no message from quincy lettie or amir. I'm still only close with quincy, I was a dick on accident a few times maybe he's tired of it lol
I think each frame only has like 15-16 total convos (if the “year” is a month, that’s every other day). So if you mess those up, you have to wait until monthly reset.
@Biggietalls779 it would make sense if there's a limit but it hasn't been two weeks yet so the most people could get is like 13 conversations as of right now. Not including the happy bday message for amir and lettie. I personally think it's just bugged for me because my cousin is still getting daily messages and everyone for him is at the best friends stage. I have a friend who also still gets daily messages even though he's only at the close stage with everyone. It's nbd honestly just thought it was a little weird I stopped getting messages, reset is soon I'll see if it persists
