- In the latest Ultimate Rugby Challenge, South Africa fly-half and Rugby World Cup 2023 winner Manie Libbok looks to see if he can add another accolade to his collection and break the world record for the longest drop goal!
Despite not attempting a drop goal during the World Cup out in France, Libbok will first try to see if he can better England stand-off George Ford's 45m attempt that he slotted in a windy AJ Bell stadium in Manchester, with the help of his Sale Sharks teammate, Gus Warr. If Libbok can manage to beat Ford, he will then attempt to break the world record, which is a HUGE 77m!

These players look really happy. I just wish Hershel can find the form again that he had a couple of years ago.
I don't think there's anything wrong with Herschel's form it is just a matter of trust and believe by the coaches and let him play his natural game, and by all means he is a far BETTER scrumhlve than Paul de Wet and deserves to start all the games for the STORMERS only then we will see the real Herschel.
When he started his Bok career, that was the real Hershel! He had freedom to play his natural game and then came the game plan and it was all over. In my books he is still tops bra! But he's got age on his side, let's see what 2024 holds for him.
@@michaelhansen6141 i couldn't have said it BETTER he was forced into a game plan like all of the players of colour that suits the OVERRATED white players, the players of colour will NEVER come to their good with these game plans forced onto them by the White coaches, take Manie Libbok as a pure example where Rasie would rather put a has been 35 years old Willie le Roux on the bench than the Best Flyhalve in SA MANIE LIBBOK. So as long as RASSIE ERASMUS and the rest of the Coaches are WHITE, players of colour would always be disregarded.
Good effort, I'm still impressed by the old Scott Quinnell crossbar challenge where he'd casually stand at half way, pick up a ball in his hand and throw it over the bar.

Frik Du Preez did a drop kick in the early 1970's of 60 metres with a heavier ball
You guys need to check your facts. The longest drop kick is 77.7m by Springbok Gerry Brand in a test at Twickenham in 1932..with a wet heavy leather ball.

Nice video but when I read the comments I'm deeply disappointed ouens! Come on now! We all know that Frans was a yster in his days and did his part for the boks but Manie brought something else, something that Frans did not have in his arsenal. Indeed! Only because we so badly NEEDED to win! Rassie and Jaques were exceptional in their tactics to get 3 consecutive knock-out wins in a row. And, what a talented, exceptionally fit, team of individuals they are! A tight cohesive die for each other group! By the by sans Marx and Am! A supreme example of teamwork! I have watched the last 3 games over and over. Including the loss to Ireland in the group stages, and you could see the determination in the eyes of each player. We gloss overvthe detail when there is a win, yet forget the absolute hard work that goes into every minute minute(small and time) of every game! A lesson to all!
If Manie learns to convert he will bench pollard. I don’t understand the disrespect his a much better player than pollard but his kicking is too important to not have
