I have listened to this performance several times over the last ten years. I love it. It introduced me to Alison Balsom and to the music Astor Piazolla. Hearing it stirred me to buy many of her CDs. Thanks to the BBC, Clive Anderson, Rupert Jones, David Robertson, etc. They all helped me to enjoy more wonderful music.
I can't stop myself from putting this on at least a few times a week.; it is such magnificent performance.. she is so talented and she does so much credit to Azzor Piazzola's Libertango , a masterpiece !!
It's such a joy to see a female trumpet player who is so amazing!! Bucket mute was always one of my favorite mutes to use and I've never seen it in a classical concert. Steller job Alison!!!
