Bioventing- a method of bioremediation.

There are various method of bioremediation and one of which is bioventing.
Bioventing is a process of stimulating the natural in situ biodegradation of contaminants in soil by providing air or oxygen to existing soil microorganisms.

Oxygen doesn't naturally enter soil below 2.6cm (less than an inch from the soil's surface). Below that is where the Anaerobic microbes live, and I do wonder if this wouldn't cause both a pathogenic imbalance in the soil, along with other conditions that might make certain nutrients inert that you want to have plant available. Bioremediation is a strong focus in my garden but I use a multi-staged approach (Indian Mustard, Cold Composting, and Worm Bins). I have recently started using Chitosan as well (because of how well it is able to not only neutralize pathogenic microbes, but also because of its ability to chelate heavy metals in soil). Have you seen any negative side effects from this Bioventing remediation method or is it more of a new approach from the past couple of years that you are still studying?

i dont think drone can help blow some air to the ground, what i understand from this video is about blowing air with straw :D
