Great to see the falcons' view. The concrete jungle obviously doesn't worry them and they hunt very successfully. May they prosper. Thanks for this last look!
So happy that you managed to grab this last visit from F24 and M24. I visited the live stream an hour or so ago hoping one of the floofs had returned for a fleeting visit only to find the live streams switched off. Loved the view they have from their nest, prime real estate! Thank for this season of 367 Collins Street @SKhideaways 🙏🥰❤️🐥🐥🐥🐦🐦🌈
@alan.w- thank you my dear friend for so eloquently articulating my thoughts too! I am so grateful to SKH and was also hoping to see a floof! Nature is more powerful than my desires! What a wonderful season thanks to SKH! Have a fantastic weekend my friend! Liz ❤️😊🦅🥰
Appreciated seeing the panoramic view of Melbourne. That is one huge city! We are fortunate to see F/M24 one last time enjoying their urban nest. Loved their sweet bonding ceremonies. Many thanks to the folks at Collins St and to you, SKH, for the captures this season. I hope the fledglings are doing fine and finding lots of pigeons. Happy Holidays, everyone!
Thanks for this final, final viewing of the season. It's always bittersweet. "Tight-beaked" 😆 Wow, this was my first time to see the camera pan. What a beautiful city. I hope the fledges learn to navigate their metropolitan surroundings well and live long lives! ❤
Thank you. I didn't realise the glimpse we were getting south was of Southbank. They would have had a glorious view of the Yarra banks and botanical gardens. Lots of happy hunting there. I hope MCC protects the air space around 367 for them and they don’t get hemmed in by tower developments. We all want to watch these handsome birds for years to come.
Loved watching them…but there were many times I held my breath when one of the chicks seemed to get too close to the edge. Was fascinating to watch the feathers coming in and how the chicks pulled out all the down. A bit disappointed that Mum and Dad didn’t do a bit of housework and clean up their mess 😂😂 Thank you so much for the live stream….❤😊
Thanks heaps for one last viewing of M24 and F24 SKH and their bondings and the wonderful views of my wonderful city. Loved it all. I expect they will be around for a few more months teaching and guiding the triplets in flying and hunting. Thankful for a successful 2024 with new parents and chicks. And huge thanks to Dr Victor Hurley for managing the program and the wonderful mods on the FB page. Not to mention Mirvac for allowing the cameras and access during the breeding season.
Thank you so much, SKH, for this video wrapping up another exciting year in Melbourne. I would certainly find the view from the ledge daunting if I were a bird just learning to fly. These birds are feathered warriors, especially in having to do maneuvers in the very unfriendly world we've created for them. Was there ever any word of sightings of the fledglings? I especially worried about the two little birds that had accidental fledges. I find it infuriating that they put a nest up on a ledge to attract peregrines, then take absolutely no responsibility for the dangerous environment they've put them in (end of rant). I am always impressed, however, by the adaptability of the birds that grace our skies.
You're welcome. We know that all 3 fledged safely from BOG and that one fledgling was rescued from a balcony, checked out, and returned to a nearby park. Other than that, no news, I'm afraid. Thanks, as always, for watching.
@@skhideaways Thanks! I did not know they'd all been accounted for after the two unplanned fledges. Whew! It's always worrisome (for me) when the floofs fledge in Melbourne because of the weather, buildings, busy city. What can go wrong? Thanks again!
Wow, after all this time of watching them lay eggs to the young three fledging, I had no idea where their nest was in relation to the CBD of Melbourne. It is good to know that there are trees, river and parkland down that side, for we have seen them flying off the ledge in that general direction all the time. Why have we seen it today, please? Thank you from South Aus! 🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶🇦🇺💛
If you look on Google maps you can look around the city, that's how I found which building they chose for their nest and which building was being demolished. Street view is a great tool as you can pan up/down/left/right ans zoom as well. Last year I found the trains after listening to their horn when arriving/departing the station and I am not familiar with Melb CBD at all.
They will be honing their flying skills and their parents will be teaching them to hunt for another 4-6 weeks. When they are hunting independently, they will leave their parents' territory to find their own.

At the 5:50 mark it sounded like a juvie calling. Thanks SKH for capturing these precious moments before the cams went down❤

Je suis rassurée, il y a tout de même des arbres 🌳 pas que des immeubles !
Merci pour cette vidéo.

This building needs urgent cleaning. What a mess.😂
I find the city view gorgeous. What a beautiful modern city.
Has there been any sightings or updates of the fledglings since they left?
What a ugly view! Glad the birds have no idea and sense.
Wonder if the fledglings would still be about in the city setting up their own territory?
They will be honing their flying skills and their parents will be teaching them to hunt for another 4-6 weeks. When they are hunting independently, they will leave their parents' territory to find their own.
Thank you for that...
