Next morning, cops knock on his door, ask why he was running last night. They ask to see his bike. He goes to show them and when it’s not there, he acts like it was stolen. Cops knew he was lying but they had no proof he was the one actually driving. He spent some time going to court, but never was never charged with anything.
I ride sport bikes, most recently a zx10r, the last time I rode without a plate was 6 years ago I was 19. took off, didn’t know the backroads and wrecked it. Didn’t get caught, but paid thousands in medical bills and lost the zx6r I was riding. All to avoid a couple hundred bucks in tickets. Here in my area of Texas the cops normally don’t chase, so when I’ve been pulled over they just give me a warning simply bc I stopped for them.
