Congratulations on the award It’s always a great show and I look forward to it every week Just 1 observation!! I’ve noticed that Liams screen has an awful glare behind him Is he able to do something about that 🥴
Congratulations on the award. Great pod too. Funniest for a while - the Macca story - although the Cambridge bloke could have been quizzed in more depth. Questions about ownership, Monk comeback at the Abbey and much more could have been asked for starters. Can’t agree that the Barnsley game was dull. Their keeper made 4/5 saves which kept them in the game and there were multiple outstanding performances apart from Dobson and McClean. Also not sure I agree re: Burton. That’s exactly the sort of game we have played many times in our history and mostly lost. The only team to have really beaten them at their place this season was Stockport with 2 of their 3 goals involving debatable refereeing decisions. Wycombe only beat them by the odd goal in 5. Normally that’s the sort of game where we’d have been knocking on the door; not taken out chances; gone a goal down and just never looked like getting back into it. Instead we played slightly deeper; mostly on the floor (compared to Stockport away) and played the percentages brilliantly. Never looked in danger.
Bloody hell Mike.. you said it was too long the other week..😂... plus Cambridge chap had other commitments too, and we were all knackered after Andy's cameo. I'm not sure how much interest their is in Gary Monk tbh.
@@fearlessindevotion well to be fair there have been a couple of 90 minute ones. That’s way too much. Us old men can’t hold iPads for that long :) Didn’t mean you should have interviewed him for longer. Just slightly different questions maybe? You are however allowed to be tired. Your schedule for these and everything else looks relentless so MUCH kudos for keeping them interesting. Thought the Monk angle might have been of interest cos he’s not well remembered in Swansea and Cambridge fans were bewildered at his appointment. Work colleague is a fan and based back in Cambridge. Both he and other fans I know seem to think Monk is clueless and that their bad start effectively means they’re down with Fleur Disunited and the Slops. Not the vibe their podcaster was giving at all. There is also the bizarre story that, before signing up with Cambridge, Monk was in line to take over from Pirlo at Sampdoria. Top song by the way.
hey guys, great stuff, but get Liam a decent webcam please. The rest of you have decent picture quality, but his image is always washed out and blurry.
I think there's something going on with Mullin's injury we don't know. If he's fully healed I don't see any reason not to start him at Burton - it's a team we should beat easily which gives a little more flexibility, no single goal scorer has stepped up that you need to have as the 10 role, and with Dobs/McClean out he's not taking anybody's place - you just move Lee back to midfield. Frankly hard to think of a more perfect game to give him 70+ - so the fact they didn't seems telling.
The “something” is just that he had back surgery and, however “minor” that was, there’s really no such thing. Plus, the anaesthetic takes a while to get out of your system. He now looks close to match fit but, as per last season, he’s a little anxious. Snatching at some chances and hopelessly over ambitious on others. It’ll come but starting him isn’t going to ease the anxiety. Having an impact from sub, when it finally happens, absolutely will.
@@mikehughescq Oh yeah I mostly agree with you - I was mainly commenting in response to the 'has he hit his level' discussion in the pod - seems like injury not skill issue. I didn't mean to suggest some huge conspiracy or the surgery failed, more that there's been very little information given about his recovery/rehab beyond those early 'not a big deal, back soon' kind of comms, and to me the idea that actually rehab took /is taking longer than expected is a better explanation for his lack of minutes. If he were fully healed and it's just a fitness/confidence issue I think I'd expect to see his minutes ramp up faster post-Marriott, esp for a game like Burton (maybe they're holding him to start tomorrow, which I hadn't thought of earlier, though a Burton start makes more sense to me). I think one of the match comms guys also said he didn't train with the team when they were on artificial the other week, which suggests some level of caution. Most of the discussion I've seen seems to be 1) not at the level, or 2) he just needs the one to open the floodgates and get his confidence back, and I agree with you that 2 is part of it I just think it's also 3) we don't actually know what went on with his surgery/rehab so maybe there's nothing wrong given where he is in his recovery process
Congrats gents. I was good until the end. Thanks for making my ears bleed. Maybe sung by someone that could carry a tune? lol. Mate, only way uou can carry a tune is with a fork lift.
And the factual basis for that would be… ? Four wins in a row. Zero goals conceded. Palmer playing well. Lee looking like he’s been unleashed finally. A back three who have been immaculate since O’Connell came back in and we lost Scarr’s hoofball. James making everyone around him look good but especially Rathbone. We’re on our third choice keeper and thus far he’s mostly looked bored. The only problem is Dobson and you want to put a misfiring, anxious, snatchy Mullin back in. Comic genius. He starts the game; plays well; swatches at a chance or goes for the unnecessarily spectacular like he has in previous games this season and thus both loses our crowd a little more and gets his previous club fans on his back. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong. Mullin starts as a sub until such time as he starts scoring more times than not when he comes on as a sub. Then he starts.

Is he able to do something about that 🥴
Congrats on the award guys…. a New Zealand fan enjoying the town’s success, the weekly banter and, just as importantly, connecting with Wales.
Thank you ❤
Fantastic tune

To not just complain, some concrete suggestions for Liam would be a Dell UltraSharp Webcam - WB7022 or a Logitech BRIO
We won an award with my poor quality cam so I'm minded to stick with it now.
Tim debunking the oft-thought opinion that the Welsh can ALL sing. My missus can confirm he's not the _only_ one doing so...guilty your honour!

Any chance you could put these out a bit earlier on a Sunday?
Afraid not. We've all got weekends to enjoy and max out❤🎉
Although we are looking at ways of putting them out earlier if it suits us all
Sarcastic answer this early in the morning😮@@fearlessindevotion
@tomed09 only because Mr Pollard was up until 3am uploading a nice shiny new pod episode, hence the ironic timing of the comment 😂
But in all seriousness, we are exploring times and ways of doing it earlier. Just a busy time of year for everyone
Chocolate in fridge is only acceptable answer

I can sing. I just choose to ham it up for annoyance purposes
If Parky doesn’t start Mullin against Cambridge then he’s an absolute knob. You always play a quality player against their former club.
And the factual basis for that would be… ?
