It's a pity that you did not go to the Chao Samphraya National Museum situates around the national park area.
I am sure that your group would feel more amazing moment when you see our royal fine arts decorative items made of gold which reveal Thailand's civilization and one of the world best goldsmith. I would recommend everyone to visit to these precious artifacts then you will have more appreciative feeling and imagination while walking through the ruins.
Actually, you should start travelling to Thailand by visiting the National Museum after the temple of Emerald budda and the Grand Palace. You would feel amaze that how come thai people made the mythology out to reality i.e. the Royal carriage in the mural painting becomes the full scaled carriage in reality and we really use them in royal ceremony also.

it's called namtan sod or fresh sugar, which is the syrup from coconut flower. They also use this to make sugar (called coconut sugar), which taste milder than cane sugar, by keep slow-boiling the liquid until it gets thicker and thicker.

It's great to bring your family to Ayutthaya, an ancient capital of Thailand. Wonderful that they are having a fun time there, enjoying the different types of pastry and coconut ice cream. Ken, the brownish drink that you have is actually coconut nectar, a natural sweetener collected from the coconut palm flowers. The sweet nectar is tapped by slicing the end of the matured flower bud and a cup will be placed beneath the bud to collect the dripping sap...😄 That old train ride would be a memorable moment and experience for them. I love the closing part of the video where your mom gives her opinion. Awesome content and thank you very much for producing such amazing video, Ken.

You know what!! things that the ancient Burmeses burned 2xx years ago has now returned into tourism benefit to country and that were temples what buy burned. We don't burned nor destroy, we worship, we preserve. Buddhism believe in law of Karma.
I remembered last year when you announed your next target leaving Thailand after you stuck in the country for some times due to pandemic caused. I'm happy seeing you come back again and with your family. Thailand is good and bad as it is. However, our culture teach us to treat guests in our best. Thank you and family once again. Many Buddha statues were burnt because they wanted the gold from those Buddha my friend.
At that war time a lot of big real gold buddha were covered by concrete by Thai monk and Thai people because they known that the Burmese would burnt Buddha for gold because even the normal buddha statue we Thai still love to paste the real gold flake at the statue to make it becomes real gold and that's our culture, that's why when burmese came what they did just burnt every Buddha in Thailand and brought the gold to build whatever at their home and that's it.
The fun fact: it is because the Thai people are Buddhist religion they use the gold to made Buddha but never wanted it back just wanted to leave it awesome like that, even the poor people never dare to thought about stolen or even touch it. And that's why there are still a lot of old concrete Buddha statue in Thailand that inside still have a real gold buddha but Thai people just leave them like that and that's why all of the big gold buddha that we found yet only found because of accident such as they the temple very old and they wanted to renovated and the workers dropped the big Buddha statue by accident and it's broken in pieces then we all could see the real gold buddha inside that our ancestors were hiding them from the invader.
-The Most Biggest and Most Famous gold Buddha that we found in Thailand called "Wat-Tri-Mit Buddha statue" and already recorded by The Guinness Book Of World Records that it is the biggest real gold Buddha statue in the world because it has a total weight about 5 Tons.
And yes the story of this Biggest Buddha is really funny too because we Thai people worshipped "Wat-tri-Mit Buddha" since SukhoThai period at the Royal temple, Wat-Ma-Ha-That around 1238-1474(785 years ago) but the statue had beed disappeared from Thai people for long long time because there are someone covered this Buddha with very thick concrete and we noticed this big Buddha that already moved to "Wat-Cho-ta-na-ram" since Rama3 period(1824) but at that time the people worshipped this big Buddga everyday but there are still noone have a clue that this Concrete buddha is a real golden famous "Wat-Tri-Mit" statue and then at the time that they have a lot of businesses with the foreigners so they have to built a big port and the foreigners companies and then after that the area of "Wat-Cho-ta-na-ram" becomes very very small because of the land invaded problems and hard for people to go and then the temple was abandoned at that time. And the East-asiatic company bought that land so they have to help move everything out included the 2 very big old Concrete Buddha statues in 1935 to "Wat-Tri-Mit" temple(at the time they still do not know this concrete Buddha is a famous Wat-Tri-Mit gold Buddha), and it's because of Wat-Tri-Mit at that time was already old so they couldn't put the big 5 tons concrete statue inside the temple And !! The most shocked thing for me is at that time after they couldn't bring the big Buddha inside so they just left the big concrete buddha outside just used galvanized sheets to protected the statue from the rain and the sun and the monk announced to the random people that they wanted to give to anyone who want to own this big statue as soon as possible so at that time there were a lot of people and temples that want to own this buddha but most of them couldn't because of how big of the statue and that place is a little rural area so it's not really easy to moved the statue, and the last people who wanted was a people from the "Wat-Barn-boung" temple at Cholburi province near Pattaya, at that time they wanted to find the big Buddha statue to be a Principal Buddha of their Temple but after they saw this concrete old buddha they just changed their mind because they thought this statue is not beautiful enough to be the Principal Statue so after that no more people wanted to own this statue, Until 1955 all Temples have to prepare for the big Buddhist Anniversary day in 1957, and at that time the monk at "Wat-Tri-Mit" Temple felt a little weird and sad to see the abandoned Buddha Statue that couldn't even sit in the temple so they built the new temple especially just for this big statue to stay, and at 25 May 1957 the ropes and chains that used to lift Buddha at the base could not hold more weight so it's broken and made the statue fell down to the ground and broken so we could see the gold shining inside a very very thick concrete, after they took Buddha out of concrete the diameter of the base of the gold Buddha is 3.10 meters and 3.94 meters, the statue included 9 removable seperated pieces of solid gold only the top piece of the statue weight 45 kilograms made by 99.99% solid gold.
And yes in 1990 the Guinness book of world records just recorded that this statue is the biggest golden statue in the world.
