    Finally some one who actually explains things in a nice and slow way and also gives a little bit of reasons why he has said that...I'm subscribing ❤

    Brilliant video loads to learn from it👍🏻 what size rod do you use for a big river? Like how big and casting weight I only have a small dropshot rod?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks buddy!
      All depends on what size lure I want to use mate, I tend to use an 8ft 5-20 this time of year, a fox ti pro, but in this video I was using a heavier rod as I had Texas rig set up on my other. The rod in the video is an Oz rod (Up to 28g) and 7ft, it's a custom I had built a couple years ago. Longer rods are better for zander especially when I need to cast far

    Possibly a silly question but.... do you ever give location your fishing away? Would love to catch a Z and do u know if they are in the north west area? Great video by the way, think i could learn a lot from your videos.

    Great video! 👏 What kind of rod do you prefer in a situation like this? I mean the action, the length, casting weight. Thanks.

    Mega fish, do you find they feed better on a down tide or an up, keep meaning to get out on them with lures but never find the time for fishing.

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always believed on the outward tide but recently I've been going whenever and honestly the flood can be very good too

    What does the law say? Are there places where you are allowed to return Zander?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  ปีที่แล้ว

      The club's I fish have strict rules on returning all fish, plus it's the same rules that apply to grey squirrels, and nothing is done about them

    Can You give me advice how to find out fedding Zander spot on Trent ?

    • @luresonly
      @luresonly  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are pretty much everywhere, but they always sit in the same sort of features, deep rocky bottoms, edges of slacks, crease lines between current or behind structure, it's just a game of finding likely looking spots and flogging them to see if their are any around

    • @luresonly

      No mate, they can be tough to catch this time of year, but you get them in the white water shallow, and generally spread out in the faster water, depth isn't that important but they do like a bit
