Yeah that’s them addressing one of the many complaints of the previous rival pack. This one doesn’t have homes and can be used as terrain. So that’s a fix.

I feel like those small bits are more likely for basing rather than actual scatter? I just got the core set for Christmas, so I'm not familiar with amg yet, but I'm definitely planning on building weapon x as one of my main teams. I definitely plan on using that stuff on the bases for the rest of the team.
The price is tough to swallow. I wish they had priced it closer to the Deadpool box and included more wilderness terrain with the motorcycle and sold the bunker as its own terrain set.
I'm on a fairly tight budget with other games I'm involved in so unfortunately I won't be getting it. The timing around Christmas a pretty expensive time of year is also not great.
The fact that the cards that come with this are foil and not matt allows them to later release the two models in a general pack with standard cards maybe?
I'm I'm fine with this boxset personally as i want everything in the box, but if i didn't want the scenery or couldn't afford it's rather big price tag, I'd be miffed. So i understand the push back. But I'm sure we'll see these two in a separate box one day, just guessing it'll be a while. Also, those two extra bases are likely just to fill the space where the character bases would go if your using them or don't want to use it as a display for them.
I got it on black Friday sale for $70 and free shipping. Totally worth it. I'm making a snowy/forest board. I can alternate a green forest or a snowy forest with this terrain piece
Instead of the "scatter terrain" I wonder why they didn't have a rider Logan, it would have been great to add this new dimension to the game. More game play options and it's a more attractive purchase. The pay wall argument is something that is going to be a big issue going forward I think
I hated buying this the other day. The steep price tag kept me away longer than I anticipated. Yeah you can get it cheaper at different online websites but I prefer to support my local shop. With this kit, I just couldn't and had to take advantage of an Amazon sale. My son and I play Xmen and Brotherhood respectively and to have competitive Mutants with claws, I had to splurge. Now, I have to buy Deadpool and Cable to finish off Weapon x. EDIT: The thing is, it may not seem worth the money. After building the bunker and the figures I've noticed one thing. It's chalk full of other cool things. The bike, the Bunker, the figs and the cards. 99.00. Thanos was what 70? Dormamu 80? (and he sucks) the tank, basically a terrain piece in normal games is 70 bucks too? You got a lot less than the bunker kit. The only REAL gripe I have is an affiliation behind a paywall. That being said, you can download the cards, use the other minis and play weapon x just fine. I've changed my mind on this kit really after having built it.
The core box i think is likely a loss leader, they loose/don't make any money off it. So drawing comparisons is unfair as any box bar the core box is a bad deal by that logic.
I think comparing it to the core box is unfair - every company under prices their core boxes to try and entice people into the game (I'm not saying it isn't overpriced by the way)
The core box is already massively reduced in price relative to the base price of models and cards. Even if we go off the discounted price that affiliation packs give, (MSRP of £60 for Asgard on the Asmodee UK website) you'd expect £150 just for 10 models + cards. The tools and dice are another £30, and the terrain separately is another £50, but collected it sells for £100, which is a discount of £130 from their normal pricing. Comparing *anything* to the core box is an unfair comparison lmao
Video was damn near unwatchable because everytime you put something in your hand, the camera wouldn't focus. Only near the end did you attempt to get items in focus you were holding. Really awful csmera work, sorry to say.
I like it, though it is possibly a little pricey. I am into terrain though, and I feel most players aren't. This inspired me to get an arctic themed board that I am verry happy with how it turned out. Still, someone who isn't as motivated or just doesn't want that specific of a theme board and only wanted to get the characters, that is going to come with a huge tax. Same with me, and the Taco truck from the deadpool pack. I wanted the figs, but couldn't care for the truck.
I think the extra bases are for putting on the display when not showing of the models, so there are not 2 base shaped holes in the terrain.

I ended up buying just the terrain for 30 bucks on ebay. I'm happy to use my old wolverine and sabretooth for the new cards.

I think it was 100% worth it. $65 for the bunker and $35 for the models. Sabretooth on the tiny base is hilarious.
