Ummm you do realise the only reason for Pakistans formation WAS because we were colonised? The Hindus were against partition to the very end, it was only the British that agreed to it and left them with no choice but to comply. In-fact had the British not colonised we’d today see 10-15 different countries in this region, like undivided Punjab, Sindh, undivided Bengal, Kashmir, Tamil, Gujarat etc etc. Pakistan and India were only formed because the British divided the Hindus and Muslims into two groups regardless of ethnicity, language, or culture. We’re both a product of colonisation.

The set is Amazing and I love the Beautiful Spirit of Shazia. The young dancers from Quick Style and of course Hasan Raheem. I remember him from last year…it took me awhile but I finally remembered his voice from “Peechay Hutt”. I love his style and I hope he and Shazia gets to sing more Beautiful Pakistani Songs. This was a great journey.
I'm so proud of this this really is a masterpiece and not does it pay tribute to an iconic era but it can pave the way for an entire new era as shown in the video so proud of you all ❤
Beautiful. We don’t pay attention to stories from our historical past and in doing so lose a part or ourselves, what made us who we are today. I hope CS will keep telling those stories. This is just as much of an education for Pakistan as a nation as it is for the world. Imagine how many minds have become curious now through this song, how many will get inspired to do things they never would’ve imagined.

Shazia Manzoor came on the scene in 92 in a talent show and if im not mistaken she came second in the final, but she has been unique ever since, whether it be cover songs of Madam Noor Jehan or Sajjad Ali or her own work. This song truly needed her voice with Hasan. It was great to find out about the underground scene of karachi music in the 60s, you guys shouldve played some snippets in this journey video. They looked cool.😍🥰💓

Coke studio is becoming a master class in understanding creative process. These videos will add so much value to the Pakistani music scene because it’ll inspire future artists to get into different creative careers.
This kind of experiment and new approaches to the music should be appreciated! I was a bit skeptical when I first heard/watched the song. The song might not be everyone's cup of tea (which is totally ok, as we all have different tastes in music and preferences), but it doesn't mean it's not a good song. Give it a time, It's a treat to hear and watch.

I am a great fan of Star Wars. Yesterday we were engaged and busy with our side hustle. Suddenly, this exotic Coke song Turri Jani started playing on our screen, which enraptured our attention, though I don't listen much to songs. But it left me with a big Wow, to see the entire setup of this beautiful song, made me jump into the world of a Star Wars, small town. Appreciate this amazing concept. It's just super to explore we already have hidden talented Directors and producers. like George Lucas in Pakistan now. I don't know how many of you are Star Wars fans here who have these same vibes hovering in my mind.
