My dad has been a bus driver for tfl and other bus companies since the 90’s. One of his dreams was to do the skid pad test. He talks about it with a big grin on his face.

Yes, my Grandad was a bus driver in the Midlands in the 50s / 60s - he told me that they had a skid pan and did this test, along with hill start tests where a matchbox was placed under a rear wheel and they were meant to pull away without crushing it!
Is this from a feature? The stunts and the editing here are very impressive for a sitcom. That seamless switch to Stephen Lewis as he skids to a halt was nicely done too. I wonder how it was done, possibly had him lie on a dolly?
Him who says I'll pass him looks like Albert Steptoe but it's not but he's in Steptoe and son paye later he's a dirty old Cop who chats up Albert Steptoe cause he thinks Albert is a woman lol
If I "am going he"s coming with me said Stan good for you bad for Blakey the morale of this story don't interfere in a driving test on a skid pan you get shot out of the bus for your pain severe your own right Blakey.

Reg actually learnt to drive a bus for the show..
That fall from the bus looks like it could have hurt. Even for the stunt guy damn
The stunt man broke his leg. All they needed to do was cut from Blakey hanging out of the platform to him sliding on the ground
