You just saved me loads of money, thanks!. Never thought about their testing, that proves that mips helps, is on a "head" without skin, hair and soft tissue, that is not attached in a rigid way to skull. So I agree with You, that mips is a load of BS. Thanks again.
Sometimes you really have to question these "advancements" in the bicycle industry. I don't have a problem getting MIPS to replace a cracked helmet, but I wouldn't replace a perfectly good helmet just to get MIPS.
It could definitely be my head shape!! I still wear this helmet and I don't notice any creaking or movement anymore. Maybe it creaked because it was new? Maybe I tuned it out?
Matei Vornicu I’m also 59.5 and today got a large. Fits perfect although I didn’t get to try the medium in this model and my previous bicycle helmet was a Medium so that’s what I started shopping for until I measured my head properly. I was going for medium because in 30 years of riding motorbikes - I never once needed / purchased a Large! - although I never went Chinese either as anything Chinese I seem to be a large!! If you have the option to try on both sizes - not the easiest task with this global pandemic - but that would be best option as you don’t want to be getting a headache. Large I think gives me a bit of a bulb / mushroom look (unless like my family is saying, I’m just not used to it and it looks ok and cool my mummy and daughters say... the wife just laughed) but I think that’s because I’m borderline M/L so if your 100% bothered by this maybe go for the headache and get a medium... haha. Actually - go for Large... Large is 59-63cm. I hope this helped, let us know and good luck!!
Curious to know if getting a small size of this makes more sense than getting a fixture which is one size fits all. I hate bulky helmets on a small head.
@@MTBActionCam1 unfortunately gotta order from overseas, not for sale in my country. Thanks for the suggestions though ;-) Good to see the review at least.
I did! I have a rounder type head and am thinking the POC might work out well..... I just wish it had some type of integrated Go-Pro / light mount as that just might be a deal breaker. I currently have a Bell Super 2 which I love but I've dented it pretty good after a fall and am tired of taking chances. I bought the new Bell Sixer but immediately returned it due to fit as the rear strap hit the back of my ear no matter what I did.
MTB Action Cam! Thnx for reply my wife got me this helmet from eBay and although it seems really genuine I'm having a hard time finding out if it's not? The sticker logos seem like I could peel them off esp the visor one,are yours the same? Any info would be most appreciated 👍

The creaking stops after a couple of uses
its either that table is massive, that seat is tiny or u are tiny
None of the above, I was kneeling.
It might just be your head shape. I had no issue with movement it’s the helmet and after owning the gyro hex and mips, I love the mips.

I really like these review videos.
Thank you!
Good video, I'm stuck between medium and large, my head size is between both and honestly I can't decide what size is best for me.
Thanks! Maybe buy both sizes and return whichever one doesn't fit. Art's Cyclery has free shipping and free returns.
So which one was better? I'm also between M and L, my head being 59.5 and I don't know which one to order..

Good review! Thanks, Got one today.
Sweet!
Is the visor detachable?
I believe so. I haven't taken it off but I'm pretty sure the screws holding it on can be removed.
yes, i have taken it off

I'd get whichever one fits better.
@@MTBActionCam1 unfortunately taking a risk with this purchase, need to order online.
@@derhova Maybe buy both and return the one you don't like.

Any updates? Does the creaking bother you?
I just checked and it still creaks. I don't notice it anymore though.
Thanks for your time and reply! I'm down to either this, or the POC (non mips) Tectal for $160
Thanks, glad I could help a bit. Did you watch me review of the POC? th-cam.com/video/sPaFhDXKUqc/w-d-xo.html

Crazy these new helmets don't have integrated light or GoPro mounts.
How do you like it vs the TLD A2?
The A2 didn't fit as well as this helmet. I think the A2 was a nicer helmet otherwise.
Cool video
Thanks!
Has yours? Sorry just curious
No, it still creaks a bit. I don't notice it while I ride now.

Same here, can be peeled off easily
Sorry Frank, I did not see your response. I will check my helmet this evening.
V Dan, thanks for the info.
