The venger literally camped melee pray the whole fight. Oda would have won even quicker if he just 1tick switched magic/ranged
Im a dedicated pvmer who played from around 2002/3 - 2005, 2007-2008, then started back up again in 2021. The wildy used to be terrifying if there was a reason for me to go there. Im not scared of shit when I go in the wildy anymore. Jagex needs to fix it, seriously wth are they thinking? They dont want players getting pkd? Good lord, what are mmo/rpgs coming to... It used to feel like a major achievement if I was able to complete something in the wildy without getting pkd.
Jagex listens to reddit to much and im sure they dont give two fks about pvpers they butchered dmm and made alot of core pvpers quit the game foe good like myself fk jagex

I don’t even play Osrs anymore but this content is just too good. Kinda sad it’s more fun to watch someone else play my childhood game, Rather than just hop back into it myself. After watching this and the state of pking/Jagex’s sus updates it makes it really hard to even want to give the game a chance again lmao.

@@forgeline5212 You can tell Odas nerves got the best of him. In a non tournament setting with nothing on the line he would be neck and neck with all of them. But these guys are in the top part of the DMM tournies every year and Oda isn't.

I don’t see how Jagex ignores the fact that PVP updates/DMM brings in so many viewers and membership for alts and returning players. Just open twitch during any day of a DMM tourney and OSRS will have 3-4x the usual viewers. It’s so sad that they put more effort into the pride event over the DMM re run.
seriously DMM is probably one of the best contents in game.
Even viewers get the adrenaline rush watching thse fights!!!

@@lemingway7404 It’s 2022 and decent server protection isn’t that expensive.. They had 9 months to sort it out and probably got ddosed by a guy sitting in his bedroom in a discord call. Understandable if it was a paid network attack, but no one’s going to pay the money for a big botnet over a 20k tournament lol. Their worlds aren’t even stable when they hit 500 players, let alone a small attack on the server.

Because that would make too much sense. I think that there's something that they're not telling us. The pride event and all the time/resources spent having JMODs babysitting it seemed off. I know that they're trying to appease Blackrock for those sweet merchant sheckels, but it was still weird. Also, the fact that membership is more expensive while we still dont have customer support and they stopped hosting RuneFest altogether. The investors might be trying to sell tbh

Pking is important for Runescape simply for the Twitch/TH-cam content/exposure. By neglecting PVP you pretty much keep the content limited to what's shown. DMM brings some exposure, but not the exposure you want with the DDoSing. You'd think Jagex would be able to keep everything secure on their end at the least.
idk how people watch ironmen/pvm streams. Killing the same monster for 5h straight waiting for a drop, or grinding a skill while talking

It’s actually toxic for them to even think that because the pvp just wants to enjoy the game the way they want to play it and OSRS/RuneScape is advertised as an MMO where u can do whatever u want yet the only people getting good updates or updates at all is the pvm/skilling community. The world is so fucking weird like u said how in the fuck is it fun to watch someone grind for a drop or grind a skill doing the same shit repeatedly? Then the “Elitists” of pvm will fucking make fun of anybody that doesn’t play the game like them to the point Jagex has actually catered to these people and it’s fucking sad on both ends
A big reason PKing is declining is because of low level restrictions on new accounts. F2P Varrock Multi used to thrive with low level noob clans just maging each other all day long. That sparked interest in PKing, and some people would go from noob PKing to higher level PKing. But for regular people like me we don't have any casual, nooby PKing to go back to. So it's a bad trickle-up effect that hurts PKing as a whole because there's no entry-level that appeals to everyone.

Pking is so exclusive to RuneScape, not a lot of games have anything like it. It should be the bread and butter of this game, wilderness needs to be filled at any given moment it’s the best content in the game
What your saying is true the pvp element is unique and should be worked on a lot more. But a big problem I see is the skill gap. The people that are good are so good. Your average pvmer doesn't even know how to escape little alone fight back. Is there a need to mix pvp and pvm though? Genuine question. Or do we need to start putting them against each other bc so many pvpers have quit? Couldn't you have a success wilderness with just pvpers? If there were enough of them at least?
