Had the TP9sc for 2years now. I carry even in my kitchen. I never had one malfunction. Today was the first day I put rounds through my MC9 and I had light primer strikes and 1 out of battery issue. I only put 75 rounds down but I hope it doesn't persist as that seems to be the common complaint. I would have just gotten another TP9SC and waited for the MC9 2.0
I was going to bet the SC Elite but the MC9 showed during the shot show week so i held off and pre orders the MC9. I have enjoyed it so far still carry my other pistols more until I get a few hundred more rounds through it. And i carry in a Hilliker holster as well
It’s a freedomsmith trigger. It makes a already great trigger crisper in my opinion. Worth the swap. But if you keep yours oem you’ll be happy with that too
Got the Elite SC now with an olight baldr S & swampfox sentinel. Have a Hilliker holster too. Swapped the baseplate on my 15rnd to a reg one and 3D printed a mag sleeve for a full grip. I can also use my 18&20rnd mags from my mete sfx with a sleeve as well. Clean setups my guy

Beautiful builds, but for the life of me I'll never understand why anybody replaces a single canik trigger. Did you just swap the trigger or the entire trigger group? Cause those triggers need no improvement
I’ve got a Canik mete sft. I don’t see much aftermarket support like Glock and Glock clones want to get a mc9 but thinking about a dagger just to have the customized aftermarket support. But the canik trigger out the box is great though
I carry a 26 and I feel like the SC is a Glock 26 killer. But idk about the reliability. I've seen many have had issues with the mc9 around the 700 round mark. I personal don't like micros. So id take the SC over the mc9.
Anyone still looking, I was ALMOST about to buy a Canik Mete MC9, had my sights set on it and everything. I even own a Canik SFX Rival and love it zero issues, so why not the Mete MC9 too for an Edc? Well I found 1 video talking about how the Mete MC9 around 300-500 rounds goes out of battery. Upon further investigation on Reddit and other TH-cam videos searching this problem, it seems to be a common problem, at least common enough to prevent me buying right now. This along with the fact there are currently no aftermarket stainless steel guide rods available for the Canik mete MC9 had me cautious and instead leaning towards another micro compact, like a Springfield hellcat or hellcat pro, even if snappy, choosing Springfield over Canik due to simply being more reliable in this regard. Time will tell, but thought someone should know if they are considering the mete MC9. I'd hate to have to always wonder when the gun was going to go out of battery and replace the guide rod every 300-500 rounds, not something I'd bet my life on! I see a lot of people saying instead of the mete MC9, go for the slightly bigger brother Canik TP9 Elite SC as that is pretty much everything improved (even though no longer micro compact) of the mete MC9. This video confirms that for me and if everytning youre saying im this video runs true i am leabing to the TP9 Epite SC for sure, i used to run a Taurus g3c and dont think I'd mind the size difference. The Tp9 elite SC also has great aftermarket options which i absolutely love! It's a shame, because I feel the mete MC9 trigger is great and it shoots well, and isn't as snappy as other micro compacts, but, the mag release doesn't always work well in my opinion, the magwell is too bendy for me and not solid. You can squeeze the grip on the sides of the MC9 which makes the mag harder to drop out after, personally I don't like anything flimsy or feeling like a toy on my firearms. If anyone has nothing but positive reviews and shot 500+ rounds flawlessly please let me know, maybe this out of battery issue is only for a small percentage, but still, I love Canik and think this should never have been such an issue for a lot of buyers! Conclusion: I want to buy a canik mete mc9, but have trust issies from numerous reviews about it going out of battery. I have a Taurus gx4 and love it, but the mag release button is TOO sensitive and drops when I barely press it. My next purchase to find my "perfect conceal carry" will probably be springfield hellcat, hellcat pro, or canik tp9 elite sc... Thoughts?
I feel you brother. I would be weary too. But I do believe the newer MC9s are good to go. I think the issues only affected the first released batches. I would make sure I check to see when the production was for the one you’re getting and if it’s one of the newer ones you should be fine. Granted, you could still get a lemon but I believe the newer ones should be ok

I have an elite SC blackout ,and I want to upgrade the trigger. How difficult was it to install, and did you change the spring as well as just the trigger?
It was pretty easy honestly. If you have any issues hit me up I got you. I didn’t swap the spring i like the way it shoots now. With enough rounds thru it it runs like butter now
I personally prefer the tp9 elite SC mainly cause I have normal palm size but weirdly long fingers so the fatter grip is perfect for me 😂 the mc9 i can damn near touch middle finger to thumb knuckle 😂

Just search it on Google. Instead of the one he got get the plus 9 one. It’s a bit more but you can put it on any Canik mag for the tp9 series and mete and sc. just get the 18 mag and put the plus 9 or get the regular 12 or 15 plus 9
