Die-hard fan of madam Jessica Oreck. I was fortunate enough to meet her once at a film festival in Kolkata. Her knowledge is colossal yet she is so calm, composed and humble. May the almighty bless her with peace, prosperity and joy.
I love her collection of collections. I suffer from this also. I am an American living in Germany for ten years and the flea markets are amazing here. I have a collection of bells, plum bobs, walking sticks, knives, bier steins (oh my god the bier steins are out of control) maps, and just all sorts of one off stuff. If you want to see it I’d love to share

I love Jessica's brain. I mean, she's a very pretty lady, but what a magnificent brain! I appreciate that every item in her collection has been individually curated to fit in the right box, but with a slight emotional subtext. Wonderful. As a collector of dice, it's nice to see more dice, even if the collections are vastly different.

Absolutely loved this wonderful show & tell - finding someone like Jessica who has also not succumbed to Marie Kondoizing her home and has embraced her collecting (hoarding!) with pride, makes me so happy to know I am not alone! I call myself a "hoardeur" as I only save "good' stuff" (yes, some would question my definition of good!) - I draw the line at dirty food containers!! Over the last couple of years, I have been trying to figure out why I love my stuff so much - and the reasons behind why I collect what I collect. Aside from the fact that I am an artist/designer and find inspiration in my items and use some pieces in my work, another reason I realize that the objects are important to me is that they serve as a connection with others and serve as a prompt for pleasant memories. Other objects have no sentimental attachment, but are fascinating to me because of how they are made, what they are made of, or their ingenious function. Anyhow, would love to apply to be interviewed and share a collection or two - maybe we could chat and determine which collection would be of most interest to your viewers. I had a three legged camel like that when I was a child. It had been part of a nativity scene.
I don't think I'd care to eat my breakfast cereal with the spoon with claws but nevertheless I found her adorable. She obviously experiences great delight in her passion for collecting. Quite a quirky personality but, she owns it well.

OH, THANK GOD!!! I AM NOT ALONE!!! I love this, but I do mix in things that are too big, also...but I have sooooooo much stuff- that I can't part with. These items come to me one by one, and, then, all of a sudden, I have this whole group of things.....SOOOOO MANY GROUPS OF THINGS!! My friends, sometimes, give me the look; You know the look. ...

Man this stuff is so cool.
I worked at a corner convenient store years ago. The store was located right in the middle of a lot of section 8 housing and a housing program for the homeless, AND it was only several blocks outside of downtown of a medium city and a world Religions Headquarters...Every time I worked I conversed with people from the top to bottom of the Class system. It was awesome.
Anyway, a lot of change was used to make purchases. Counting 5 to 30 dollars worth of random change happened often. I would set a side the most beat up, gnarled, and bent coins and exchange my personal money for them. I have 15 lbs of the most uniquely messed up coins. I ,too, like to think of their stories.

I guess I never hit enter on my post so here it is again. This is excellent! I didn't realize she was responsible for so many cool movies as well! I've worked with miniature items, insects, fossils and various collections for a long time so her works are awesome to me. I'd love to be on your show! I have many unique items from my travels around the world, including (but not limited to): Elephant bird egg, egyptian death mask 2000+ years old, weapons from the Masai Tribe of Kenya, Woolly Mammoth Task from Siberia, WW1 3d Camera with original slides (Canada Geographic wrote an article on my find: www.canadiangeographic.ca/article/rare-first-world-war-photography) and I also have about 24 pieces of taxidermy with a few really unique pieces.
