If you only have 72 hours to spare, concentrate on this portions of the Golden Circle.
Geysir Hot Spring - A favorite stop along the Golden Circle with boiling mud pits and exploding geysers.
Reykajavik - Is the country's capital and largest city, with it's striking concret Hallgrimskirkaja church and fishing village vibes.
Gullfoss - Golden Falls, is one of the 3 must-see attractions along the Golden Circle. This impressive two-tiered waterfall drops 32 meters (105 feet) into a narrow, deep canyon, creating a huge spray of mist.
Seljalandsfoss - There's a footpath leading behind the tumbling water so you can admire Seljalandsfoss from multiple angles and enjoy the experience of walking behind it.
Skógafoss - Jaw-dropping, 60-metre (197-foot) high waterfall on the south coast of Iceland. You can climb the staircase to reach the observation deck at the top.
Vík - Southernmost village on the mainland of Iceland home of Reynisfjara beach.
Reynisfjara Beach - A world-famous black-sand beach considered to be the most beautiful example of Icelans's black sand beaches, is a popular sightseeing stop-off.
Reynisdrangar - Offshore rock formations visible from Reynisfjara beach.
Blue Lagoon - A geothermal spa located in a lava field. The waters of the Blue Lagoon are renowned for their skin healing properties.
Jökulsárlón- A glacial lagoon in southeastern Iceland. Its still, blue waters are dotted with icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier. The Glacier Lagoon flows through a short waterway into the Atlantic Ocean, leaving chunks of ice on a black sand beach.
Diamond Beach - The icebergs which fill the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon wash up on shore, creating a sharp contrast with the volcanic black sand.
