This camera has the same issue as the FX9: Full frame and full resolution only goes up to 30p. If you want slow mo you have to crop in on the sensor a bit to be able to use the S&Q function that allows up to 60p of slowmo. Now this is fine. But here comes the issue: once you press the button to go back to full frame the camera forgets your slow motion setting in S&Q mode and you have to dial it in again next time you want to shoot slow motion again. This is a major flaw and forces so many of us to live in the cropped mode and never leave it. Fun fact: The cheaper FX6 has none of these issues. Go figure.
As far as the Imager goes. There are two ways. One is to down sample from the entire sensor and the other is to crop or as she explained, only use that portion of the imager.
Very informative - there was a big effort to make this with staff and gear. I really appreciate it. Sony has always been my "go to" for gear from low end HDV(witch I loved) to XD/PXW/to the Burano. I like the familiarity with the FX line and Sony - lets move away from Alistar and move toward Katie. This resource helps with a complicated tool. On a way side note - I wish cameras were more basic, with limited features. Easier to focus on the subject matter. That's why we do this.
Why are we comparing these cameras like they contain some kind of magic sauce inherit to the camera, the tone curve and color science of the capture device does not matter, that'll always be malleable. How does the raw sensor perform? That's all that matters. Choosing a camera to simply use the native manufacturers profiling with rudimentary grading is the most uninspiring way to craft a look.

@11:00. You can use a lens cap? You don't need to remove the lens and use a factory camera cap? Canon is ABB and they insist on the factory cap.
