Israel uses thousands of mostly Phillipino & Thai nursing assistants to help the aged. It seems to work very well for all concerned. Often they live in and become members of the "family". I saw many of them in Tel Aviv. They appeared to be be cheerful, gracious and a credit to their countries

Yes, you are right. You know a lot of Israel. How many times you visited here?

@@feetontheground9784 Regarding my other reply about Saladin Street I want to add that in 1967 Israel was less developed food/restaurant/Hotel wise to what it is now. Service was" Sabra" like poor & indifferent. Not rude but indifferent. They knew no better then. So by contrast Jordanian Arab hospitality was then much more welcoming & refined. Theywere used prior to the war a diverse clientele of mostly Christian pilgrims.. Arriving from UK we appreciated that then. Service, hotels and restaurants have improved considerably in Israel. I fancy a frip to Amman but sadly no direct flights from SW France.
My first visit was August 1967 and I have visited a few times since. The last was a week in Tel Aviv in 2019 when easyjet were flying "cheap" flights from Bordeaux.

I think the extremely deep subways station was constructed with "dual use" for emergency civilian & military use. Any ideas ?
