    Getting back into modelling after about 25 yrs .I remember trying to hand paint USAF Vietnam era camo...bloody hard in 1/72...to see this in 1/48 where everything is more visible is absolutely incredible. You have skills Sir. Respect 🙏

    Really nice to see what excellent results can be achieved with brush painting. Amazing job. I will take on some of my models like that too as I cannot really become friends with airbrushing yet.

    Nicely done, takes more skill and patience to correctly brush paint a model than using an airbrush.
    By the way, I would not recommend the Aqueous Hobby Colour line from Mr Hobby for brush painting large surfaces as it is a lacquer-based water soluble acrylic paint so it carries more properties of lacquer paints as compared to pure water-based acrylics (Ammo Mig/Vallejo/Revell Acryl etc) which easily brush on with no problem. It's water soluble properties are more suited towards touching up paint work by hand with a brush after airbrushing the colour.

    Wow! What an excellent video of brush painting. I spend too much time trying to make my models look like perfectly polished cars in the showroom. I need to just be happy working on models and having them represent what the model is of...not so much making it look perfect. Some will say the lines between the different camo colors is too defined and not fuzzy...everyone has their opinion. I think this model looks amazing. Yes you can airbrush but brush painting is on a whole different level.

    Wow, what a wonderful work!!!!! You make me want to go back to modeling... :-D I painted my models with Tamiya e Gunze paints, poorly diluted or not at all, but I start to think that Vallejo paints are much better using brush.

    • @brushpaintedmodels7086
      @brushpaintedmodels7086  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! So far from my experience I can tell that the best paints for brushpainting are the water based acrylics. I do like Vallejo Model Color very much, it is excellent for brush painting.

    • @emanueleluciani2663
      @emanueleluciani2663 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brushpaintedmodels7086 Thank you so much! I take advantage of your kindness to ask for others advices. What are other water-based acrylic brands? Revell and Italeri? Is it possibile to dilute these paints with water or you have to use its specific thinner? I knew that Tamiya and Gunze were acrylic too, but maybe alcohol based?

    • @brushpaintedmodels7086
      @brushpaintedmodels7086  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Revell Aqua and Italeri are water based. Tamiya not. I recommend using a specific thinner, adding too much water will cause the paint to "fall apart". Just try and you will see.

      hello, thanks to your videos I'm back to modeling!! Now I would like to ask you if in your opinion there is a way to enhance the panels without first giving a coat of glossy varnish. I tried with tempera or tamiya panel liner but it doesn't come out well. And then, but you don't model anymore?

    This aircraft is a mixture of somewhat other aircrafts, like F-104, F-4 Phantoms and Mirage F-1.

    You cannot beat Vallejo paints for applying by brush. Revel is not bad either

    Could you put together a video showing how you thin your various acrylic paints, and also what additives (if any) you add to the mix? I'm a big fan of brush painting, but have only used Model Master acryl which is no longer produced. Thanks for all your great videos to date.

    • @brushpaintedmodels7086
      @brushpaintedmodels7086  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Next time I will try to show how I mix the paint. But it's no rocket science. I just add a thinner in ca 1:1 ratio to the paint. No additives.

    • @davidlanham5914
      @davidlanham5914 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brushpaintedmodels7086 Do you use Vallejo thinner or just water at 1:1 ratio? What primer do you like best, and do you thin the primer? Thanks.

    • @brushpaintedmodels7086
      @brushpaintedmodels7086  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Synthetic artist grade brush. Brand doesn't matter. What you can get in your country/store. Size according to plane/part size. Shape Filbert one.
