That's absolutely disgusting, and very likely he actually meant to do that based on the "already got an arm and head in" part. Jeeeesus, lots of times people try to reach to make shit crazier than what it actually is, but I don't think this one is a reach

Best Friend is the flip-side of the same coin of Medicine Man.
    1) One side is all about the personal feelings of true love for his friend and struggles to reach the top of the mountain.
    2) The other side is about the personal feelings of struggles to reach the top of the mountain DESPITE all the hate that got in the way.
That is why they are so hard to decide which is "better", because they are EQUALLY good, just approaching two different angles to reach the same level of skills. That is why it depends on how you "feel" at the moment on which one will reach you more. You want to feel the "love of support along the way", you obviously go with Best Friend. You want to feel the "f*** you for doubting me", you obviously go with Medicine Man.

PS: In regards to the Tiger Woods in golf vs Eminem in Rap, as a "white boy" growing up?
To be honest, I was EXTREMELY proud of Eminem making it in rap NOT due to his race, but due to his TOPICS. I was listening to NWA, 2Live Crew, LL Cool J, EMPD, Wu-Tang and others at the time, but mostly just to "vibe and bounce" because of the BEATS. But with Em, it was the LYRICS AND TOPICS that got to me. No other rapper, at that time, was talking about being from a broken home, dealing with parent problems, escaping from being bullied due to being white in dominated black schools, or basic TEEN ANGER like Em was. So for me, the "pride" of loving Eminem comes more from how his topics and lyrics were helping me release my own 'anger at the world' due to my situation at the time that most of the 'rap community' either ignored, didn't rap about at all, or simply refused to rap about because of the thinking that it was 'white problems'.
In short, I was sick and tired of the "gangster rap", the "drug slinging" rap, the "club scene" rap, or "spending money on bitches and hoes" rap. But Em rapping about father problems, mother problems, being ignored at home and school, putting up with being bullied or fights due to different skin colors or interests? THAT type of rap was hitting "home" far closer than other artists at the time. The fact that Em was WHITE? It didn't matter, because it was skill, lyrics, topics and "anger fueling it" that really mattered to me.
Now, decades later? It STILL isn't about Em being white. It is about Em being SKILLED enough to remain on top of the mountain looking down at all the other rappers and DARING them to challenge his abilities.

I see nobody here talking about the VerZus last night between KRS-ONE and Big Daddy Kane. These legends are prolly way befor alot of your times but these two are the MASTERS of what Em does and was raised studying before he ever picked up a pen. There are others from that era but Kane & KRS are the rulers of ALL the forms of lyricism. Content, concepts, punchlines, metaphors, entendres, schemes, stories, extended schemes, similes etc...
These two MCs are the reason Em is NOT the Goat because as long as these men are breathing they hold the crowns. They perfected all these forms of wordplay, they did them the best and have consistently been killing shit around the world. They just not the media darling rappers that get praised by rap fanatics that are really for outside the culture and never lived it or grew up in it during its inception.
If you never had a crew of MC's, graffiti writers, breakers (B-boys) and a Dj you can't really relate to the purest form.
I say all that to say I know most of you like Stevie think Eminem is the highest level if this thing we call Hip Hop? No. No diss but there's levels to this shit and though Em is a great he's still a student to these Master Teachers. Y'all go watch that VerZus and take notes like a young Eminem did and watch the realest of EMCEES hold court.

@@justinatest9456 Nobody real cares what color Em is. Imo he gets more spotlight in him BECAUSE he's usually the only white guy around most times in a hip hop circle.
People think he's the best cause thats all they study. People don't know WHY somebody like KRS is a beast. WHY somebody like Slick Rick or Kool G Rap or Cube are extremely deadly lyrically. Why somebody like Busta Rhymes or Redman or Wu Tang or Ceel Lo, Mystikal if they wanted could turn down the beat so you really hear the shit they saying and it would make you think twice and why lyrically they are rhyme terrorists just like Em but with even more tricks in their lyrical bags.
If you ONLY study Eminem of course he thing he's the best. Cause you don't know what makes Method Man more lyrically superior cause you cant figure out the "method" to his madness? Why he's lyrically the Riddler of rap. Why Common has extended punchlines that you never picked up on that makes him deadly. Why Pharaohe Monch could do all the syllable miracles Em can do but better. Why E-40 has more styles and cadences in one song then rappers do their whole career. WHY Fabolous has quadruple syllable punchlines, Jay has the illest entendres, why Lupe is 100 miles ahead of most when it comes to schemes etc.
If you only know Em's shit down to the word then of course you think he's the best without an in-depth study of all the other greats.

The only way I can put one above the other is what’s my mood subjectively, is it emotional where I’m open to inspirational style music or is it pissed/closed off where I’m opened to aggressive in the moment style music. 🤷.

    • @richdude8150
      @richdude8150 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I find think white people who love eminem are racist. I just feel most of them say he is the absolute best because they could obviously relate to him more and and they couldn't relate to the street talk of most other rappers. I just don't like when stans get upset when people make a top 10 without eminem. it's their subjective opinion. they don't have to have it and I think in certain areas, other rappers are much better than eminem but EM is the king of multis and wordplay. I think guys like banks and cas are way better with punchlines. I think most eminem punchlines are kinda corny " it's my dick, harder than arithmetic" and shit like that
