      Even if that is the case with 2010+, every album from then has been the same meticulous, hardworking, and amazing rapper. He never "fell off". Sure the content of his songs has changed, but that comes with age and growth, but the technical ability is still there. From On fire on recovery to fine line on shady xv, to rap god, to river, to lucky you, to godzilla, to no regrets. Each of my selected choices here signify amazing story telling, beat selection and sound effects, to rap ability, and more. @@BobanX1

      Nas beats Eminem easily. Nas made illmatic for his first album, while Eminem made infinite copying Nas’s style for his fire project. Nas is still dropping classics today while Eminem hasn’t had a classic in 2 decades. Eminem is literally phenomenal but to say no one beats Eminem is just incorrect.

    I personally never vibed or clicked with Eminem. His voice, his style, his approach to lyricism. BUT, I have a deep love of music and I'm not eight years old, so I can appreciate his artistry for what it is... which is greatness. I have no time for childish minds who say they "HATE" a artist or band/group/ensemble/whole music genres... just because it doesn't align with their specific taste or understanding. Eminem will probably never be a artist I will listen to consistently, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for what he has overcome, achieved, and in some ways defined. I feel that is a very fair and rational thing to say.

      You most definitely have the right to feel that way and I respect it. But me, personally, I find it impossible to dislike something so thorough and precise. • @muninraven3327
      @muninraven3327 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hljones1072 I appreciate your response. I' don't enjoy the use of the word "dislike", because I would never say or imply that regarding Em', so maybe that was a inappropriate word choice or understanding of my meaning (?).
      Yes, I utterly adore his lyrical mastery, but the music does not hit me in the same way. I mean something I can listen to over and over again throughout my life.
      For example: Mozart and Bach are rightly considered two of the greatest classical composers to ever pen a score, yet (Bach's cello suites aside) I find myself more in tune with the overall sound and intonations of Vivaldi or Boccherini.
      Em' is a lyrical god, but I find my ears and senses more in tune with De La Soul, or Naz, or A Tribe Called Quest. Give me some Bus Driver, or even my childhood Newcleus, back when Hip-Hop was just beginning to morph out of Electro.
      No dislike, just an ear for turned to different jams. Respect. :)

    Imagine Em comes out with a new album. 12 songs, well crafted, telling a great story from start to finish. Sticking to a theme. With the most perfect and hype features. Every song having a great hook. Not a single fast verse. Fire beats. Fire flows. No over the top yelling to get his message across, no funny accents, 0 goofy/parody songs on it.

    Stevie, the reason Eminem has these numbers, is because he has die hard fans. I mean think about it. Every time the Detroit Red Wings score a goal.... They play "Without Me". Lions. Tigers, etc... I'm from Detroit, grew up on 6 mile, and I can tell you this. Not only do we all still ride around and bang Marshall's music through our speakers, he has a die hard fan base here. Even after all these years. So the numbers you just showed tell me this... EMINEM has the biggest and longest lasting fan base, of any artist alive right now. But you gotta be in the game for say least 20 years to hold that title. Which he has done. So regardless of Drake's numbers, he will never hold the fan base for 20+ years like EM did, and have a whole city behind him. When the Auto industry foiled years ago in Detroit, it was no longer Motor City. Detroit fell off the map. Then Slim Shady walked down 8 mile and and put Detroit back on the map. Most people when they think about Detroit, from a music prospective, they think of Eminem. Which is an amazing accomplishment in itself. Anyways. I love your videos. I've been a fan and subscribed to your channels for a few years now. Keep up the good reactions. God Bless you. ....DoOziE p.s. the only problem that the Detroit Fans have with him... Is that he never puts on concerts. He never comes around. Fans want to see him live... And he's not doing that. I wish he would. Because I seen him at Comerica Park at the Anger Management Tour with 50 Cent, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boys. Obie Trice, Trick Trick, Stat-Quo, & D12. And the whole town was buzzin'. The fans are missing that.

    "If I don't this music shit I lose my shit". Eminem "Survival". Man that guy is so honest with his feelings and that's why he has such global acclaim IMO. The core needs for people are generally the same. Eat, Sleep, Drink and Shit. But we are all HUMANS and we have needs and because we are so intelligent that's why we are complicated. We are a biological organism, it's just that the more awareness you have the more you fuck shit up and the more information you register. We need connection, being useful, help someone, love, friends, sex, primal instincts, ego, money, SURVIVAL etc. He for me is the one of the few artists to be able to communicate those thoughts so well that there is little comparison IMO at least in current climate. I would not consider my self as a music buff BUT I can FEEL him you feel me? He cuts into my humanity, he gives me goosebumps. The way he says things the cadence the rawness the fucking I don't give a fuck and I'll say what's on my mind. He is HUMAN and he revels in it. To long ass comment sorry.

    I'm gonna say something, believe it if you want, but it's a theory since I haven't watched the video before writing this. In my opinion, Em done achieved everything. Every accolade earned. Being a master of his craft, working hard, bounced back when he released a flop, and is well connected in the rap game. However, fellow rappers keep Em working because someone is always gonna have an issue with him. That's just what happens when you're at the top. All I can say, leave the man alone. You don't have to have animosity towards Em. It's not about color, it's the respect and growth and just everything positive. Dre put him on the map while also helping his own career because of Ems potential and talent. I may not like some of the things he stands for, like political views, some other things. Put that aside, you can't deny his dedication. If nothing else, dedication for what you do goes a long way.
    Edit: The Game is literally giving me whiplash when he talks about Em. Is he the greatest or isn't he? How is it even difficult to pick a lane?

    Eminem only needs a classic album late into his career the way jay did with 4:44 and Nas did with his kings disease series. If em can show he can make classic material late into his career, he’ll be tied with Nas, jay, and pac for the goat. Until then he’s with Lil Wayne and Biggie in the tier directly below those titans.

    Being a traditional artist he is literally the verbal equivalent, he is creating a work, a piece that within itself stands as not only a final expression but within itself holds the entire process which is thousands upon thousands of individual choices like the thousands of brushstrokes on a canvas.
    He is a master at his craft for sure.
